Everything is out in the open fast ...usually shows take months or even years before a son realises his mother's deception. The confrontation scene was little dramatic but then Umaben is OTT ( yeah here Chanchan is normal but her MIL is OTT 😆 ) . The dialogues were good and Supriya was fab.

The daadi- cc scene continuing from yesterday was my favorite. All scenes in the Sarabhai house depicting a very realistic , progressive and supportive family - good job by the CVs.

I think the no in the precap is because she doesn't want to get married secretly without his mom's permission...(DDLJ style 😉 ) and not to make Umaben beg for her hand...lets see.

Yep, today had to be about Manav's decision ... that was the key to make the story move ahead, and am glad they did spend time on it. Also as I mentioned above, I liked the Manav-UB confrontation ... Umaben knows that Manav knows of her drama and deceit ... for once, the entire story is out in the open.
I found Supriya okay ... maybe I need to re-watch 😛 She was OTT, and only in the last bit did her emotions show. I wonder whether she was still playacting and will be back to scheming as soon as Manav is out of sight ... in which case, her being not completely convincing is spot on ... or whether she has really accepted defeat ... knowing Umaben, not so soon! 😆

Sarabhai family ... ditto!! Love their scenes. Daadi is really growing on me ... she is a darling.

Yes, CC says No in the precap because she doesn't want to get married secretly ... I meant the end result will be that Uma ben has to accept defeat and actually ask for her hand.

Saw the episode a little late today as ipl rocks in my home right now ... Anyway thought it was another good episode ... Supriya ji is just fab, loved her vulnurability today ...and her desperation in not letting manav go ..

I know ppl are upset over the use of the song but honestly I was ok , maybe I am over the previous show ... I would much rather prefer the serial having its own background music but if not any bollywood song would do as long as they are not too many in an episode.

I am also enjoying the overall direction and execution of the show nowdays , is it just me or has the script and dialogues improved considerably ...

My first reaction for the song honestly was ... NOT THIS SONG!!! 😆

But I am pretty much over the previous show too, so I was okay once it started ... anyway I love Sanaya in emotional reflective sequences, so I enjoyed watching her. And while the song was not really ideal, the placement of the lyrics was quite well done and apt ...

I agree ... the execution and direction does seem to have improved ... I was impressed with Manav's dialogues today and FK did a fair job in delivering them. Could have been better ... but was okay. The scene was well written ... I liked Supriya's emoting, but was not impressed with her heartbreak ... more because I don't believe she will accept defeat that easily 😛

Great post Diya... my take is that we saw a different facet of UB today. She admitted to her mistake when Manav took a strong decision ( following him to the car was too dramatic!)... not many people do it ... so there is hope for UB as yet.

Remember that UB has had a similar issue with the first son... he ran away and had to be brought back so Manav's decision will surely affect her reaction to CC and the marriage. Why the first son ran away is a mystery for another day!

Loved CC's family for supporting her and encouraging her ...

Thanks, Ash ... yes, I forgot ... Umaben's first son also ran away from home ... that could have something to do with her change of heart ...

But since she brought him back and obviously got him married to the girl of her choice, I am waiting for UB to start scheming again ... don't think she will give up so easily! I think she will try similar tactics as she applied to bring back the eldest son ... obviously this time they won't work.

I love the Sarabhais ... they give their children space and freedom to make their choices ... yet are always around to support them ...

The episode was all about Manav and Umaben.

Supriya is an awesome actor and if nothing else, I am glad Sanaya gets to work with her.

Thanks ... it was a good episode, and since Manav's decision was crucial to the story moving ahead, I'm glad they did spend time on it 😛

I think Sanaya is really looking forward to working more with Supriya too 😃 But honestly, I think she is a match for even such a veteran as Supriya P ... their last scene together was amazing for Supriya's dialogue delivery and Sanaya's expressions both ... 👏

The makers have definitely spiced it up in the last few epis...and timed it perfectly with IPL ending this week...missed the precap...so CC does say NO...hmm...interesting, cause I really want UB begging to ask CC's hand in marriage..ok..ok...that shiddat might be a bit too much😆...at least coming with a decent proposal to Sarabhai's house...lets see ke what actually happens...😊

Yes, seems the makers have timed it well ... IPL ending and the UB-CC clashes starting full swing ... also if UB is forced to beg for CC's hand in marriage, then we will get a full fledged big fat Indian wedding ... good for TRPs 😛

Arey, shiddat can never be too much ... I want UB to be totally majboor and forced to go to the Sarabhais house to ask for CC's hand in marriage ... or she will lose her son.

Now the show is picking up, we need more discussion posts ... there is quite a lot to discuss here, because CC is quite relevant in many of the issues it presents. I have seen a number of love marriages happen against the wishes of the parents ... to see it being dealt with realistically and well on screen is enjoyable.
