I was like ... ay lo ... sab sun rahi thi??!! Then why didn't she get up earlier when Manav said he's leaving the house ... why that filmy run to the car?! 😆 that's why I think it's all for effect ... Uma ben is not a sentimental woman ...

Let's see if I'm wrong and Manav her laadla, turns out to be her one weak spot after all.

I am almost past hoping the ML changes ... we will know by next week, once IPL ends ... but now all I'm hoping is that after the wedding he gets sidelined and we don't see too much of him ... I'm also getting resigned to the guy ... don't like him yet, but can tolerate him now, in very small doses. 😕

There are plenty of decent actors on the show and if the script and screenplay stays this good or gets even better, then they will be far more fun to watch.

haan...no chance of ML changing...and yes, when CC enters her sasuraal, we have tons of people to keep us entertained😃...i would love to see FIL-CC scenes, because the guy who plays the FIL is also a good actor, and the antics of the dumb bahu are tho always there😉

Dumb bahu ... dumb bahu who thinks she is very smart ... and dumb martyr bahu ... what a range 😆 They should be quite a hoot!

But I am pretty much over the previous show too, so I was okay once it started ... anyway I love Sanaya in emotional reflective sequences, so I enjoyed watching her. And while the song was not really ideal, the placement of the lyrics was quite well done and apt ...

I agree ... the execution and direction does seem to have improved ... I was impressed with Manav's dialogues today and FK did a fair job in delivering them. Could have been better ... but was okay. The scene was well written ... I liked Supriya's emoting, but was not impressed with her heartbreak ... more because I don't believe she will accept defeat that easily 😛

Now the show is picking up, we need more discussion posts ... there is quite a lot to discuss here, because CC is quite relevant in many of the issues it presents. I have seen a number of love marriages happen against the wishes of the parents ... to see it being dealt with realistically and well on screen is enjoyable.

True love marriages happening out of cast/religion is usually opposed by families. Infact, when I was discussing CC with my mom in India last week she told me about a good friend who lives in our neighborhood, whose daughter loved someone from another caste. After lots of opposition the girls parents decided to separate them. Desperate, the two stepped in front of a train. I could not believe such things still happen in a modern society in this age. I thought it happens only in shows & movies. So the way UB is reacting is not too far from reality or over exagerated.

@bold ... OMG!!! 😲 I have heard of honor killings and the like ... but one always assumes that they happen in another community or among villages and illiterate people ... but unfortunately that is not true ... opposition to love matches happens all the time.

A friend of mine belonged to very conservative Brahmin community, fell in love with her classmate of a different religion ... her parents opposed the match, they went to the extent of sending her away to a relative's place and locking her up ... she ran away and got married ... sounds like out of a movie, but I saw it happening myself ... Ten years later, both families are reconciled to the marriage, but the couple went through hell before the parents relented.

So yes, these things still happen and there are parents like Umaben very much around.
