they did get married ... u know that entire incident before the flashback sequence ... the night aunt put in extra demands for haq mehr ....that sara wd get a house and she put in extra money and all .... there was also this entire qabool hai thing which was the nikah .... the day she disappeared was the day of the rukhsati or the bidaai .... i guess in Hindu terms its like u say the vows one day and the bidaai occurs the next day .... but nikah is marriage .... i think rukhsati is more of a cultural than a religious thing ... and yes the only way to end it is a divorce....
