haider is a gem .... do men like him really exist?

@blue
Haider is a gem so far. I hope he remains that way. But one cant foretell what Umera will do with her characters.
Do men like him exist? I dont think so. He wouldn't have been so stable coming from a one parent household.

18th episode was a bit low, from the high of 15th-16th and 17th, to us. Though first two parts were good material; Saba-Arfeen, Saba's letter, Father-Son encounter were consistent with high standards set. The last two, concerning Sara's flight, were typical soap. Their conversation and Saba's letter explain many aspects of their poignant relationship…waiting Skeptical's insightful analysis thereon.

Friends

There is some curiosity doing a round here… We had viewed the title song first time after the 12th episode. Was it always same from the beginning or getting changed after a few episodes? If it is unchanged from the first episode then it is interesting to note that all the scenes from the song are lapsing frame by frame into the ongoing episodes. This leads to a conjecture that serial was majorly shot before its actual start on the air time-so unlike Indian serials. Is it the case? And if so then there is another pointer… almost all the major scenes from the title song have passed with the past episodes. Does it mean that the serial is heading towards conclusion, with hurried wrap up of second track?😕

I have heard some beautiful recitation of saragams in back ground. The Classical music, which has greatest contributions from so many great Ustaads, is mastered there as in the grand old days of Punjab gharana?

The Fathers .....................
Karim
This man has no right to find fault in others when he couldn't take care of his own children. If he deserted his daughter when she needed him the most......... what can you say about his character? Maine kitne minnate ki lekin aapne ek na suni ....... was Saba's comment. That one sentence spoke volumes. He has lost his daughter the second time now. She clearly tells him she doesn't need him anymore........and quite rightly so.
He is also repenting his thoughtless actions and is suffering. But he has found a scapegoat. He blasts Arfeen and his absent father. Aap logon ne meri beti ka....... blah blah blah. Arre bhaiyya itni phikar thi toh aaye kyu nahi tab jab beti minnate kar rahi thi? He cooly washed his hands off the "Saba affair". People like Pontius Pilate can never sleep in peace for turning a blind eye to a grave problem. Blame yrself Mr Ostrich not yr brother or his son. What a hypocrite!
And Arfeen is apologising to him for himself and his egotitstical parents.
Arfeen's father .......... what is his name?
He looked a bit unhinged as if he had lost it. Forget about her (Shakila), she's nearing her end. But please forgive me ........ he goes on like a broken record. If you watch closely, you will notice Arfeen's expression. Its full of disbelief and despair. He even asks he father whether they will ever realise how much they have affected and destroyed his life and his chance for happiness. It's in the past begs the father but yr forgiveness is the present. He begins to weep and yet Arfeen finds it in him to take pity, show compassion and hug his father. The man who has taken away the joy of of living from his own son..............
Treatment of the fathers by their respective children
Saba remains detached from her father and distances herself from her him. Forgiveness is not that easy for her obviously. She is more accusing inher silence. She decides to make a clean break from her family.
Arfeen remains in close proximity with his parents though they have ruined his life. They have spoilt his prestige and his image in the eyes of everyone who knows their story. He bears the brunt of hate, scorn and ridicule from all the characters in the serial except Haider..... as of now. The viewers themselves cannot forgive him. Yet I feel he is the most compassionate of all the people in the story. Haider is sweet because of Arfeen not despite him.

Theirs was a LOVE born in the realm of the stars- and crossed by the same stars! The trials and travails, it does go through; Parting of the ways and unimagined alliances, it does overcome; Distrust, seeded by outside deceptions, and bitterness, resulting out of that unjust distrust, it does cross. But ultimately, that Love emerges undiminished and not undone. It prevails in both hearts-beating stronger then ever in one and peacefully, as a gift of Allah, in the other. Though the pliable doubter was burdened with life long unhappiness and remorse, he was not reduced to total disintegration, only because of the continued presence of that love. He might have faltered at crucial moment but he was as much a victim and she must have seen this through. And hence she can not stop loving him, though by now, she has found a greater anchor, emerged stronger and peaceful within her own soul, with an eternal alliance-a connection-unimpressionable by the worldly influences. And this alliance with her Allah, she will not now trade with any other. She does not need now any other.

That love has some how created a strange but beautiful harmony in both the souls- result and proof of that harmony is the sound and wholesome upbringing of their children in each case.(In this seemingly single-handed task, they were unknowingly but beautifully caused to be helpful to each other by the kindness of Almighty. Saba-with her subtle but loving and direct bonding with Haider- when real mother was absent and Arfeen- being employer-provider to Saba's household when Sara's real father was mercifully absent.)

This is what we feel from the conversation between Saba-Arfeen and Saba's letter.
