1. Lately the only news about you has been about ur link-ups, are they true and if not, I am sure you laugh about them then but how does your real gf feel?
Link-ups...Lets start with Sonam..I guess its just become mandatory to get linked-up with your first co-star...Sonam and me have been dear family friends since donkey years... She is an extremely talented girl and a fantastic human being.. I assure you there was no link-up there... Nandita Mahtani... A very dear friend... Sweet as hell... But thats it... We lead two seperate lives.. I meet her only when i accidently bump into her... Known her since i was a kid... Confession - Had a secret crush on her while i was growing up...Infactuation I guess...But nothing more than that... Deepika... Met her a couple of times thru some common friends.. But honestly, before something could have happened between us, the press started writing stuff which made it awkward for her and me... So we both decided that since we were on the brink of our careers, we should forget about this media circus and concentrate on our respective careers... That was it... My real girlfriend... Not had 1 since sometime now.. The last 1 was a girl named Avantika who i was dating in school and was in love with her for 8 years of my life...
2. What are your next ventures? We heard about Siddharth-Anand's next, but u said RK Films will get active, there has been no sign of that so far.
As of now the only film i have green signaled is Sid;s film... I loved the script and my character... Starting this November... It stars Amrita Rao, KAtrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone and myself...
Initially i was to start a film for my home banner but nothing materialised.. We still scripting and once we're happy with something, it'll be my only priority...
3. I dont know if this can be applied to you or not yet, but is it really an effort to acknowledge the love of fans when they are intruding into your personal lives, when they want to know every single thing about u?
I think its really important to reciprocate in some way or the other... Many people dont have the the medium to interact with their fans but thru these websites and emails, it get simpler.. And its really re-assuring to see this love and respect so I think every actor/actress/artist/singer/director should be aware of this...
4. Did you ever get mad at SLB during the shooting for being the slave-driver that he is? felt like why am I doing this?
No i respect the man a lot... There are harrowing times..Like a lot of them but luckily i know that this man is doing everything he needs to for the betterment of the film... His passion and love for cinema is so awesome... There were times when Sonam and me were shouted at, abused and criticised...But we took it in our stride and used it to motivate us a bit further...
5. Do u get time to watch TV? What are your fav. shows if u do?
O I'm a complete TV buff... I watch a lot of movies... Like 2 a day...any...hindi, english, foriegn film... Fav. shows.. i like Jay leno... Lost.. Entourage...24...Prison Break...Scubs... never was into the indian soaps...i've heard they are scarily addicting so i conciously stayed away from them.. I watch a lot of animal planet... a lot of music india and ETC...
6. What is saawariya all about? Is it a period movie? and is it really based on white nights/ heera-mandi?
Saawariya a based on white nights.Its a russian short story...But SLB has his own interpretation of it...Its not a period film, nor is it a modern film... The place, time and characters are all fictional and out of the ordinary... I play a character called Ranbir Raj... rani who plays the narrator of the film calls me Saawariya... The teaser is out with Chak De... And also some posters will be all over the theatres... Music is releasing in the 4th of Sept... Which happens to be my fathers birthday...
