Just because they used the terminal disease/ Alzheimer’s trope which has been done to death in a million movies?

This Subhash guy is a pest thriving on garbage.

I watched both the movies and the similarities end at the fact that both the movies use the same trope.

He is not the only one even film critics are alleging. He had written story on it which has been taken down The scene is itself ripped off from the original.

Why did YRF take down the journalist's story?

The beat of the story is just the same. What's the difference? The occupation of the leads and songs. It's a cocktail of Ashiqui,Malang frames and Moment To Remember.

Mohit Suri is no stranger to copying. The list is on the comment, check them out.

This bad example of a journalist's article was rightly banned (if ever). The similarities mostly lie in the desease the young woman gets and in an ending that gives hope for a love despite the desease.

The couple's characters and their common life is completely different, also the attempts to bring back some memory. In no way, Saiyaara is a "copy", but based on an idea that also the Korean movie wasn't the first to have.

One member in the review thread mentioned the 1983 movie Sadma which also deals with loss of memory (retrogade amnesia). Loss of memory is a major trope in books and movies, early-onset Alzheimer has become a part of that trope since it got established as a desease also among young and middle-aged persons.

There is a very interesting book (Still Alice, 2007, written by a neuroscientist) and a very touching Mohanlal movie Thanmathra (2005), I would recommend.

I have seen most of Mohit Suri's movies and they have been inspired from / adaptations of Korean and English movies. So I won't be surprised if this one too is. I have read reviews and some of them have brought this up.

Have you seen Moondrom Pirai or Sadma and A Moment To Remember?

Sadma's storyline and characterization are completely different to A Moment To Remember.
