Nothing really shocking or surprising about this. Im sure she’s faced this in Bollywood as well but she’s playing it safe by only mentioning south producers.
I bet that the "casting couch" exists since the dawn of commercial cinema. It's another, much more annoying thing to fall for the producer, investing emotions and a part of the own life into him and then 'bye, bye'...
I heard in South, they’ve to sleep with heroes, directors, producers, distributors and their friends & acquintances
And then get the role where they portray bharathiya nari & sanskar
The southern whisky shenanigans
"they have to"??? why even agree to the first asking? If one starts to compromise this way, it's no wonder if others want the same 'favour'.

I hope that is exaggerating. Why are they so obsessed with sleeping with actresses? Ghar me biwi nahi hai kya?
Inn sabko khane me 1000 sleeping pills mila ke de do. Let them sleep forever.
There, I said it. Such people don't deserve to live.
A South friend recently told me there’re several YouTube videos, (before that there were mag articles about it) about 80s, 90s, 2000 actresses (they name names ) talking about their experiences, what they had to do for opportunities. One actress who mostly played mother roles said how she would play mother at daytime then every night spend time with the same heroes
Maybe not every heroine does it, but if big heroines have to do that, imagine what small character actresses and junior artists have to do.
Don’t know if it’s still the case. Although no reason to believe things have changed
Recently one small time actress complained she complied with everyone, they used her yet was never given any opportunity. That’s even more sickening
Also heard TV industry used to be safe for women and free of casting couch, even that’s changing now (am talking about South)
