Since I felt that Taran got heavily biased and doing certain work for some extra pay I'm not interested anymore it what he says/posts (except for some announcements here in the forum)...he has sold himself (in my feeling).

And yet again, mocking ranveer to elevate rk. Taran was talking about rk, there was absolutely no need for him to start referencing to ranveer in the conversation. But it's so interesting that even these media people still have ranveer on their mind when talking about rk smiley36smiley2

Although I didn't watch the conversation, I agree with the bold part as I've noticed that, too...like here in the forum, so often both get mentioned in the other ones threads (like there respective spouses smiley36 )

Yes Rk has influential influencers in his pocket.

But Ranveer is playing a bigger game. He has got the Billionaire Zerodha brothers to be an investment and strategic partner in his new business venture SuperYou.

He also has very close ties with Ambanis. He is a great networker and gets along well with everyone.

Like someone here rightly wrote: the Hindi filmindustry has camps that are supported by politicians and industrialists and other people with influence...it may also be the same way in other Indian filmindustries (and it's also - to a lesser extend - in other filmindustries I know).

I think, in India, still movies are a vital part of people's life but had become more & more an investement product of people with vested interests...

I sincerely hope Ranveer himself doesn't suffer from this dangerous "Victim Complex" that his fans are so famous for. The whole world is not out to get Baba.

As far as the muck that happens to be his once promising career, a lot of it his own fault but there is some bad luck involved as well.

The flops notwithstanding, SLB & Farhan Akhtar have done him dirty. Together they've wasted about 2 years of his prime. Flops don't hurt an actor as much as vanishing from the public eye does. That was the bad luck part but Ranveer hasn't done much to help himself as well. The "Entourage" he brings along is such a red flag for the cash strapped industry. Bollywood was openly talking about his demands for vanity vans. The south project that was stalled due to these demands and eventually shelved was the final nail in the coffin. You have no such baggage with Vicky, Varun or anyone else to be honest. Ranbir doesn't even have a manager. Other than Ranveer...SRK/Salman are the only two who come with a baraat but that's more for security reasons. You don't need a Manager, PR Manager, security team, hair stylist, makeup man, Chef, dietitian etc on the sets at all times Ranveer, you're not a superstar or an A-list actress.

His upcoming project with Dhar looks safe and promising. Dhars fictional pro Goverment Jingoistic narratives mixed with commercial elements, appeal to a very large audience. It should do well. Hopefully Ranveer can also learn to be a bit humble and a team player, understand a producers struggle and take care of his entourage.
