I am surprised they let Ash work even as much as she managed to work after marriage and did not get her to wear pallu on head. Though in 2007 when Ash attended ground breaking ceremony of a college in her name in UP, she did put pallu on her head. Amusingly that college was also never made.

I would say even Ash working as much as she did after marriage or moving without pallu or huge sindoor and bindi on head and forehead or huge mangalsutra is surprising for a typical Bachchan bahurani.

The college was built in her name because AB Sr had grabbed a massive amoUnt of farm land allocated to farmers on the pretext that he will construct a school for poor children long before Ash became his bahu. Scum bag never did that and when there was an uproar over this m he conducted that Pooja, announced that the school will be opened in Aishwarya’s name and people were very happy. Of course then it was eventually forgotten.

I think that is a whole different can of worms. There were rumours that her SIL used her name to further her career or pulled some stunt which resulted in some major issues between them.

So her SIL doesn't follow Ash on Insta. Or she unfollowed her or something. But Ash is still close to her brother and his kids I think.

Not sure how true the above issue is, but there was a blind on this 1-2 years ago. I think I read it on IF only.

Well said. Most so called trad families of BW like Kapoors and Bachchans or Dutts ultimately turned out to be shady AF.

I truly believe the more conservative, khandaani, honour or prestige obsessed or worried about culture or propriety anyone pretends to be, the worse they are in real life.
