Bachchans are your typical Indian in laws, who do not like the sucess of their daughter in law. They are extremely insecure. They feel they their son's importance will decrease. What they have forgotten that their son's career has nearly ended in Bollywood. Age will catch with Amitabh.

Many Indian families are like this.

Many so called educated elite families are like this. They claim they do not discriminate but they are shit to women in family and often bully even sons.

These guys also ruin mental health of kids and drive them to suicide or learned helplessness wherein person neither lives nor dies and puts up facade of perfect, respectable family with prestige and honour. All Kapoor women for eg have stayed despite affairs of men and regressive family except Babita, just to maintain facade of izzatdaar khandaan.

I wonder how long will Ranbir, Neetu and Riddhima's facade of supporting Alia's career will last. Kapoors are never okay with DILs working in films as actors. I believe Alia will also slowly shift gears like Ash.

🤣 I sometimes wonder if joint-families are ideal ? Perhaps if Shweta can’t have her home. Maybe Aish should have her own. Hum Hum Saath Hain sold us idealistic dreams.

You cannot be liked by everyone...which is normal.

Shweta and Jaya being against Aishwarya, her work, her personality or everything she does is understandable.

But what is most annoying is that she can stand up to them, she has it in herself.

But she is proper indian lady at heart, like the ones shown in tv serials...because she would not stand up for herself to her own husband.

He is supposed to encourage her but it seems like the idea of her not doing much work and being a simple indian bahu was Abhisheks initiative.

They are less jealous of wife success unlike Bachchans

Because you can see in south so many women are company owners or have own identity and let be by their famous husbands

Even Yash (KGF) allow his wife to act after having 2 kids as heroine with other heroes

Suhasini Maniratnam was much more famous than husband and very big heroine even decades after wedding and acting with top heroes of south india decades after marraige

So if Ash was clever and married an south indian actor or business guy she would be top heroine even in 40s as they give much more freedom to career and wife

Shes also from south india that too mangalore which is matriarchal than patriarchal society where women have equal or more power than men or hubby at home

She could keep working with breaks till 60 or 70 years like Suhasini, Shobana, Lakshmi etc if she married an south indian with few years break having kid like all these famous actress did. They started at 16 years acting even in 60s or 70 years mostly continuous no hubby jealousy etc

I think Ash should have done atleast 2 to 3 movies from 2007 till today with a break of 2 to3 years for aradhya. She missed almost 40 movies in last 15 years bec of conservative family. Let it be small role but in big movie like RRR or Bahbubhali too she suits padmavaat, mastani roles i mean historical

And after 2000 most south actors are BE, MBA, CA etc means highly qualified so they respect heroine unlike 80s or 90s or before. So harassment is less too unlike uneducated bollywood class actors

Bachchan destroyed Shwetha life too by marrying her very young than allowing a career etc they will not allow Navya whose beautiful and has heroine aura to enter bollywood. Same for Ash lets see about her daughter what they do

No South Indian actor or family could have given her kind of additional name and fame that Bachchan tag did.

Except Rajinikanth perhaps, but who has no son.

Ash probably values the name, wealth and security more than freedom, career or hoped to have her chance to dominate once old Bachchan couple are no more or lose senses.

Any woman marrying Bachchan son would have known they were marrying parents' raja beta and would lose own freedom and career especially as actresses.

I wonder why Bachchans always chose more successful and older women for Abhishek though? To give son more limelight and then rob freedom of bigger star wife and make her sit home? Earlier they had chosen Lolo for Abhishek.
