Salman is practically never targeted by the boycott gang as his family is friends with the ruling party. SRK’s good image has increased on the ground. My dad was praising SRK for doing the cameo on Rocketry..

Aamir wasn't targeted by the boycott gang until this movie either..Thugs of Hindustan had a huge opening and only flopped because it was actually bad and before that he had Dangal which was a huge blockbuster.

But now just in a few months many people have been brainwashed against him, that shows you the influence the far right has. What makes you think they won't do the same against Salman and SRK now? They already hate SRK, even before boycott campaigns became popular I regulary saw "go back to Pakistan" type of comments from bhakts. Then last year there was the whole drama with his son that didn't go anywhere but clearly was pushed a lot to tarnish his image.

I disagree. Aamir has earlier faced boycott calls at time of Fanaa in Gujarat and later for Dangal, Dhoom 3 and PK. But he broke records each time.

Aamir only needs to focus on good content and STOP taking too many breaks or going underground for years as he usually does since last decade. He also needs to mind his language and stop commenting too much on social or political issues and atleast choose words carefully.

He was most ruthless in bashing Modi for Gujarat riots and called him mass murderer in 2007 or 2006. That and his donating for orphans of those riots or supporting anti communalism NGOs openly and donating to them and later supporting NBA and also calling BJP an undemocratic party had made him target #1 in eyes of Sangh ages ago. His intolerance statement only gave them more excuse to attack him. Since then all his past interviews are used against him or false propaganda is spread against him.

He just needs to STOP being silent on slanderous, false propaganda against him and take action against sites spreading lies about him the way Akki sued a YouTuber for defamation last year. He needs to choose words carefully and not comment drastically on socio political issues or bash any party or politician too much in harsh terms.

His disappearing from social media and deleting own blog also backfired on him. Otherwise he could post his clarifications directly and interact with audience directly there.

He should stop getting into message mode or religion or social issues in films or ads. Honestly even showcasing NGOs in Satyamev Jayate backfired as one of those NGOs featured by him, named Love Commandos was recently caught extorting money from young runaway couples and blackmailing them, threatening to give their details to their parents.

His daughter Ira also gets trolled badly due to hate for him by IT cell. Let us not call them neutrals.

They hate him for his being the most vocal mainstream commercial star against BJP and Modi. They hated the influence he had on masses and his films breaking records. They had to target him to bring down his credibility at any cost.

SRK is also hated. He has same propaganda against him and his films did flop earlier. He will be targeted with Pathan and Dunki also. More so due to heroines like Deepika and Taapsee in them who are also hated by RW for JNU visit and Twitter/CAA protest attendance by latter just as LSC got additional hate thanks to Kareena and the atheist director Atul Kulkarni's old tweets.

But LSC did not survive boycott calld like Aamir's past films purely because of its poor marketing, choppy screenplay and weak content. The film had its heart in right place, had many emotional moments and good music but it is overall a sad film to see in post pandemic world. It has no happy ending really. One rather feels bad for the lead who bears hostility of others since childhood due to his autism and leg brace. He never takes hostility of others to heart. Poor kid. It just makes you sad as a viewer why this guy suffered so much or lost every single person who he loved or was attached to or who was nice to him. I was wondering if director would even kill his son. Thankfully atleast his son was with him. You think people will watch such film in theatre? LSC did not have quality to hold audience captive like Dangal, Fanaa, TZP, RDB, 3I, D3, PK, Lagaan, DCH etc, throughout its length.

Salman is targeted but way too less because his dad Salim Khan was smart enough to endorse Modi as PM in 2013 itself, meet RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, send Salman to Gujarat to fly kites with Modi, asked Muslims to move on from Babri and 2002 and focus on education and Salman and Sohail also defended Modi over 2002. Salman attended his swearing in ceremony in 2014 and even Helen met Mohan Bhagwat.

Whereas Aamir is the most vocal critic of Modi and BJP and is paying for it. What happened to him in Fanaa issue in Gujarat was a trailer.

SRK also spoke against intolerance and batted for allowing Pak players to play in IPL, is seen as close to INC, TMC, so he is also bashed. Why do you think Aryan was targeted only in this regime?

Aamir and SRK are also married to Hindu women and their 3 kids each have Muslim names that irks RW. Same for Saif.

Salman is not married and has no kids, hence hard to call him love jihadi either the way they target Saif, Aamir and SRK.

That said Salman too is hated or linked to ISI Dawood by IT cell. Khan in his name is enough to call him J*hadi or accuse him of destroying careers as Vivek Oberoi and Ash are called his victims.

Back then those hindu nationalist didn't have much influence. It was before social media and the whole IT cell shit. Now they have the support of the ruling party and use social media like twitter, whats app etc. well to push their agenda.

LSC was flawed but the low opening already shows that people already made up their minds (because of the obvious boycott campaign portraying any support of this movie as anti India and anti hindu) before even seeing the movie. This is not a thugs of hindustan type of scenario which flopped because it was bad (it had a huge opening)

PK was also an all time blockbuster in 2014..but its obvious such a movie would not be made now or at least be a huge flop.

Times have obviously changed.

Even Bajrangi Bhaijaan and OMG would be controversial today

If the movie was as slow and boring as described, then I think the audience must’ve succumbed to an open-mouthed coma before SRK’s cameo entry even happened. 😂

Yes, maybe they changed/edited the movie and the "original" version of the Indian version of Forrest Gump suffered from that - contentwise.

However, that would now show a kind of shoddy work they did through the changes (I read all your spoilers because I am interested why the audience did not support a movie that puts the focus on pure love - like MNIK did).

It's the right of movies to bend the realistic logic but there should be an inherent one...and it seems that LCS lacked it more than once?

Because Kamal Haasan is a Brahmin.

He has criticised religions many times in his films.

But he is targeted less as he is a Hindu and that too upper caste and a senior legend.

Though some faltu trolls targeted him too assuming he was a Muslim named Kamal Hassan. LOL!

His daughter is also trolled due to him and accused of being a convert.
