see it's like this. A piece of land in the #1 address in India/ South Delhi in the 50s went for 50,000 rupees. That property is worth 200 crores today. You dont even have to go so far back. Even in the early 2000s, property in Amrita Shergill Marg where the industrialists live went for 15 crores. Today, it's 200 cr. Inflation!

tbh with you, I am a 90s kid so Bollywood craze for me began with these stars that u have mentioned. There was no social media back then but their craze and popularity was unmatched. They didnt need to be part of any trends or anything at all. Their charisma and demeanor itself was enough.

With all the being said, that magic has been missing in their recent movies. I am not excited nor do I get butterflies like earlier watching their entry scenes in movies. Is their age factor to be blamed, I am not sure. whatever it is, I want them to do age appropriate roles and choose wise scripts. They have all the money then why produce crappy films. 😕

Before HAHK, Salman had flop films, he had flops in 2000-09 decade, same he had flops now. Haven't he always made comeback?

Same we can say for other 4.

Let 10 films flop back to back, then write them off.

KGF 1 when released, could only gross an odd 45 cr at box office. After it came on satellite & OTT, it started getting more & more crazier. Hype for KGF 2 was generated by KGF 1 only. The same was the case with Bahubali 1 & how it pumped hype for Bahubali 2.

I would love to see if any film that isn't part 2 of another successful film becomes the highest grosser, like the Khans do with their films.

This is absolutely 100% true. I didnt watch KGF1 or Bahubali 1 in theaters. watched them on both on OTT platforms and went berserk 😆

Also I didnt know that I would enjoy the kind of violence they show in KGF but I surprisingly enjoyed it..I am a KGF and Yash fan for life 😳

South audience is more mature. BJP tried to target Jai Bhim, Kaala, Mersal but all succeeded. I think Kamal's recent film is also a hit.

South has better literacy rate and is less gullible than cowbelt. Hence less impact of stupid hate campaigns there.

hmm, i wll also say the actors and filmmakers have a connection with the film going audience

when they see them as coming from them and being part of them, nobody can come between them and the audience

when you listen the filmmakers, they would have watched movies in some small town on single screens with char aana class

in hindi that connection is lost, kjo, ayaan, current actors, and look at their lifestyles on insta etc nobody will connect to them

to this say, when a dharamendra posts about his childhood, farm life, people connect so warmly

This is why Bachchans always post pics of temple visits or family functions and not their parties or lavish lifestyle. Deols also post pics of family or farm but not parties or drunken sprees or foreign vacations.

Khans were also mostly rooted. Aamir is not on social media at all and rarely did talk shows. Salman mostly speaks Hindi and commonfolk language.

The Saif, K Jo, Ranbir, Ranveer, Deepika, Kareena, Alia, Sonam, Jhanvi, Ananya et lot is indeed elitist. Speak with a fake accent or do bitchy talk shows or take digs at others or tweet BS and Twinkle also seems to be on high horse forever and often talks shit in bid to sound witty. Half the hate Akki gets is due to Twinkle.

Most of them are So Bo type elites and seem superficial. Lack touch with masses. Anyway even their English is not some Amitabh level. Amitabh is only one who speaks English and Hindi both so well and knows where to speak what.

I want them to do movies but choose wisely and keep in the mind the tastes of modern audience who has access to pretty much everything these days!

other day i saw a pic of suriya and jyothika in bombay visiting a restaurant, below it was written that there kids were with them but they asked them to step aside and requested the paps not to photograph them

now compare with kareena complaining paps are hounding taimur

same with rani, preity or aish why are their kids no featured
