Instead, their first indirect connection goes back to their school days. He shared that their respective schools once collaborated on a choir performance in which students came together to sing “We Are the World.” Both Sumeet and Smriti were part of their school choirs at the time, unknowingly sharing a stage years before destiny brought them together on television.
