Kalank failed massively. Star power means pulling the movie ahead, too, not just opening. That's why Salman is a star. That's why SRK and Aamir are still stars despite their flops because their flop movies earn more than some people's hits.

Are you seriously comparing Alia with the Khans? Is Ranveer not good enough?😆

Kalank did business of 80 Crores. That's not a small number. Many Hit films do less than that.

As for Sadak 2, there's no point of discussion if there are no box office collections.

Alia is a crowd puller, but posts like this thread will create a lot of negativity toward her just like what happened with Deepika. Alia's being made out to be this perfect actress - she's not. Alia is good actress, the best only among her gen of A-listers in only Bollywood. Somehow, the rest of that small group happen to be terrible, but that doesn't make Alia superlative in any way, shape, or form. She's just better than them and has miles to go.

Somehow spiderman and pushpa remain unaffected by Omicron. And only a movie about cricket in cricket crazy country failed to fetch numbers.

Sadak was OTT release. So that's not even comparable.

Kalank opened at 18 cr without *slb*.

I never called her a perfect actress or compared her madhuri/sridevi. So I don't know what you are talking about.

My simple point is alia has far more star power than deepika. Thats fact. The day deepika actually gives a double digit opening with 50% occupancy. We will talk.

Sadak is an OTT release there is no way to know audience reaction to it. Absolutely no concrete way. And kalank opened well. It flopped because it was bad film. Only person who can make a crappy film work is Salman Khan and nobody here is comparing alia to salman khan.

People would go to see such a big cast even if they individually don't draw a big audience. Plus Varun is a big name anyway and the Varun/Alia jodi has quite a bit of fans anyway.

I like Alia a lot and defended her during the SSR bot madness when everyone ran away but there's no need to overrate her like this.

I answered because kalank was brought up that s it . Varun and alia were the main draw for kalank nobody went to watch kalank for sanjay/adi/sonakshi .Madhuri maybe probably for nostalagia purpose .

See the thing is after two years of mocking , abuse , slander alia deserves this hype . Let her pr hype her , let her fans hype her . She has proven herself both in terms of acting and box office . She deserves to enjoy everybit of this . Right from the time this movie was announced people that includes ssr bots , kangana and co and even deepika fans have been waiting for this movie to flop so they can bully alia more . But alia has emerged as winner so let her enjoy this . She deserves every bit of this

On IF everyone and their granny is a bigger star and a better actor than Ranveer. So sure, she definitely is.
