Surrogacy is legal in India. They have only banned commercial surrogacy coz it was misused by many to get "designed" babies. Also many non Indians misused it too since the procedure in India costs them much lesser than it would in their home country. So to protect the interests of babies and surrogate mothers GOI has bought in stricter laws with regards to surrogacy.

Thats really awful, what the foreigners were doing, so its good they passed the law, but what abt allowing Indian citizens to have surrogate babies?

I watched a Crime Patrol episode real life case, where poor needy women were imprisoned by some crook doctors and forced to have surrogate babies one after another

It was introduced in 2016 , it passed only last december.

There were many reason but instead of regulating it they just blanket banned it.

Tusshar' son is 2+ yrs old. He is older than Karan' yash n roohi who are 2 yrs old too. I am not sure about Ekta's baby but since she has no qualms in declaring it to the world about the baby I am assuming she has taken a legal route to get her baby delivered.

Sohail has two sons..second one was through surrogacy.

And yes it is a dark and murky truth that there are many doctors and institutions who take advantage of poor and needy women most of the time they hold beggars and mentally ill people in captivity and use medically fit women for surrogacy and others' organs are harvested and the bodies are secretly disposed off by dumping them in rivers or sea.
