SRK had his surrogate kid 5 yrs ago when it was still legal in India, so did Aamir 6 yrs back
KJo, Tusshar, and now Ekta are doing it when its illegal (or supposedly illegal according to some topic posted 2 yrs ago on this forum

I asked about KJO first .. too😕.. why aren't you realising no one 'out to get SRK'?? Stop this false victimising..
KJo and SRK are the only cases I know of in India.
Didn't even know Aamir's kid was through surrogacy.
Or that 5 years back is not same as 2 years back.. thus I asked.

Commercial surrogacy was legal when Sohail khan, Aamir, SRK, Tusshar, and Karan had their kids. Its been a year and a half since it was declared illegal to use surrogacy for commercial use mostly coz many rich n famous and foreigners opted for "designer" babies and many foreigners later abandoned babies for reasons better known to them n sometimes left the girl child behind and took the boy with them in case of twins. To protect interests of such babies and their surrogate mothers GOI has banned commercial surrogacy.

Thanks😊

Question: why did they pass such law?Who is harmed??

In the West it's a known procedure and many resort to it when there's infertility or other reasons the mother cannot conceive (some naysayers say it's like shopping babies but still it's pretty much done in the open in West) but parents want their own genes in the newbormn/
And congrats to Ekta! Glad she's not in toruble with this ..law..whatever..

Didn't it get clearance 1.5 yrs ago? Mostly coz many people were abandoning the kids and the poor surrogate mothers were left with no money n unwanted kids 😕

Oh you are certainly out to get SRK for sure
Bringing him up when his kid is 5 yrs old, while KJo and others had their kids recently
And u didnt even know abt Aamir's kid being surrogate, yeah I believe you 😆

And no, 5 yrs old is not same as 2 yrs old, do the math

She probably didn't carry the child because people would be like who the father is and I don't think people are so understanding they are just about understanding what surrogacy is. In Lisa Ray's post she said she wanted babies in India through surrogacy but was crushed hearing the news laws but told there were 'ways' of still doing it. So Ekta probs did the same.

Oh wow.. didn't know about that.
What a despicable thing to do.. if true.. choosing a baby over the other.. or leqaving them behind.
Ughh.. at '' many rich n famous and foreigners opted for "designer" babies ''. These people need to have a wake up call.

Surrogacy is legal in India. They have only banned commercial surrogacy coz it was misused by many to get "designed" babies. Also many non Indians misused it too since the procedure in India costs them much lesser than it would in their home country. So to protect the interests of babies and surrogate mothers GOI has bought in stricter laws with regards to surrogacy.

It was introduced in 2016 , it passed only last december.
There were many reason but instead of regulating it they just blanket banned it.
