Following the footsteps of younger brother, Ekta Kapoor has opted for surrogacy and become a mother to a baby boy. Ekta's baby was born on January 27 and is perfectly healthy. The producer will bring the baby home soon. Congratulations are in order for the Kapoors as the family welcomes the cute new member in their family! Ekta has been very close to Tusshar Kapoor and his son Laksshya. She is often snapped with the child and loves doing the whole 'bua act'. Years of babysitting her nephew sure inspired her to have a baby of her own.

It is interesting to note that Tusshar became a single dad to opt for surrogacy in the year 2016 and even inspired Karan Johar to go for the same. Now elder sibling Ekta, who chose to stay single just like Tusshar, has opted for the same option to have a baby setting a new example. She will join the powerful brigade of single mothers in Bollywood.

Ekta Kapoor has spoken about not wanting to get married but was open to being a mother after Laksshya was born. She had said that she would opt for motherhood after she knew she was ready for it and all the responsibility that comes with it. Looks like that day has arrived! Stay tuned for more updates.

Weird people. kids are like toys for them. Ek Tusshar ne liya ab muje bhi chahiye.

If they cant have kids in the normal way but really want some progeny, why not adopt?

1. Why did she choose Surrogate instead of giving birth herself? Like Bebo or Mira, she could have given birth.. and then become thin by going to gym..
2. How come Tushar and now Ekta having boy babies only? May be they want to their business to run within the family?

Because not everyone can treat someone else kid as their own.

But didnt the Indian Govt make surrogacy illegal in India like 2 yrs ago? I remember a forum topic abt this from 2 yrs ago saying its illegal, how come these people are still allowed to do it? Is it because they are rich and famous?

As usual dragging SRK into this without any knowledge 🥱

SRK had his surrogate kid 5 yrs ago when it was still legal in India, so did Aamir 6 yrs back

KJo, Tusshar, and now Ekta are doing it when its illegal (or supposedly illegal according to some topic posted 2 yrs ago on this forum

I think because they want their genes to be.. there??

So it's more ..selfish in a way..

With adoptive kids there's not your own DNA in them..

Of course.. that's an assumption..

Or maybe there's medical considerations..or maybe they know the surrogate is healthy and want her specifically for their kids? hmmm. it's soo complicated./.
