Yes, she is currently still doing well for herself to stay relevant despite not having many films in the past whatever time period, but apart from Alia, no one has really delivered performance wise either. Anushka's films have done whatever, Katrina was never known for her acting anyway, PC is more or less out, Kareena is doing ensemble films, Sonam has always been there doing her own thing...and so that just leaves Alia - who has been delivering her best and climbing the ladder as an actress and as an overall star. So, Deepika has not done anything..a lot of others just have not been able to deliver performance wise where it's making many believe that Deepika's stardom is unmatched. She may still be number 1 in terms of ads, online trending, how pretty she is, she looked great at her wedding, love her with Ranveer and whatnot kinda thing..but, as an actress/performer, which is obviously the major contributor to any stardom, there is a lot of room to argue at the moment. That is because, she has barely had any release for so long...and others, have either been doing their own thing, or not been able to leave a mark with their films, apart from Alia.
Gushing over an actress in my opinion is there for many. Actual stardom where can this person be dethroned by that person, in bollywood at least, is more or less what the Khans have witnessed.
