Sometimes, a person can struggle with depression for even the most minor things.. A spark is all it takes.. Its a feeling that engulfs you.. For others, you might be leading a super successful life with nothing amiss but deep inside, there could be a hole..

PS: she is not suffering.. She suffered..

There are holes inside all of us. And to be very honest there is no need to try and fill each and every hole. Unless someone is clinically depressed with episodes lasting for 2 weeks they should NOT get on a regime of medicines. CBT and meditation helps for episodes that are for a day or two.

I think people do confuse depression with sadness. You are NOT depressed if daddy didn't buy you a pony for your 16th birthday or if your relationship or international career didn't work out.

You should see the gora folks here (i am sure you do). they did diagnosed with whatever condition in the DSM 5 fits them and then wear it as a badge.

for ppl accusing of using this for publicity, pls educate yourself on the work TLLL has done so far.
1. They have done workshops for kids in schools
2. they have done workshops in rural areas
3.they have done workshops with cooperates
4. in partnership with FB they launched a feature where people can talk about a friend who they think is suicidal
5. they brought out ads encouraging people to share & seek help if they are suffering
6. they have brought out India's first large scale mental illness survey.

Doctors, psychologists in India call TLLL's work breakthrough. but obviously they too have been paid by DP's PR.🤪

For anyone interested this is the survey results which deepika shared in one event few days ago.

also for the ppl who make fun of mental illness, chew on this. This is the truth about how mental illness is perceived in India.

See.. I don't know whether she actually suffered from depression or not.. None of us do.. People do get depressed if their desired careers do not work out.. Hell people commit suicide because they did not get job at the company that they wanted to work at.. So ya.. People can get depressed, actually depressed for even the most trivial reasons.. What seems trivial to you might be the world for them

I don't know some times I feel weird not being married

Like my brother and cousin and their wives went on a trip Colorado and they invited me and I felt fifth wheel ish. An I know they will never make me feel like it but I'll feel like it.

Before I had vacations to look forward to. Now all the people I vacation with are paired up 😆

LOL even if you feel bad believe me it will be for few moments before you see them arguing/compromising and you will be thanking your lucky stars that you are not one of them. If you must have a female company then just take a friend - pay for her free vacation and you might find some takers. If you are going for enjoyment then you can only watch one kind of nazaare. Either your partner or the mountains. 😆

@Boss, Sallu is not talking about bank balance ya status wala luxury. Damn he is not even saying he will never have depression.
Just read the article L posted in page 6, Sallu is talking specifically about himself. He is talking about, how his job profile does not allow him to be himself, he always have to mask his sadness, emotions and other stuff , as his current lifestyle does not allow him to be himself. He cannot show the world what he is going through. He cannot afford to be sad, because he does not time for it.
Does not mean he is not/cannot be sad or stressed, but he cannot afford to show them.

Sallu can be blasted for many things but here he is being dragged just for the sake of it. He is talking especially about himself and his own situation, he is not insulting or trivalising depression.

😆 Salman was talking about himself and his view about his life.

Depression is not as simple as it looks, there are many types and some people just keep on suffering. There is no such cure for depression, medication helps only for a while. A person needs to be willing to change their habits, lifestyle etc to overcome this disease.

I know as I have suffered depression, Resident_Evil is correct about the medication's effect on people. I would rather change my lifestyle and thoughts to come out of it, then take any medication that could affect me in long run.
