out of a non-issue.

@ajns, farmers, most of, who commit are
not in depression. They suffer real

of depression. They are mostly despaired
because of real reasons like poverty, lack of basic neccessities,
than just be depressed because of depression.
It is not that poverty leads to depression,
farmers mostly commit suicide because
they find themselves financially helpless and
struggle to see way out of the situation.
lets us not trivalise their situation by coming to
conclusion it is depression.

I am not denying that poor people don't suffer
from depression, but not every suicide is result
of depression. There are many factors, depression
is just one. And it is not definitely the major cause
coming to our farmers.

THIS!!!...I don't know why Anjs is comparing apples and oranges...besides the reasons u have mentioned...another big reason was that the farmers thought that their death would benefit their families more than their lives because of the way the Govt compensated those farmers who dies...it is sad and ridiculous but true...and farmers actually believed it..

@ Anjs...Farmer's suicide had nothing to do with depression.

One of my friends have suffered from depression and he still doing his best to recover from it. My brother in law too gets it from time to time and it's really stressful for both the patient and their families/friends. Those who're alien to it and who doesn't have any loved ones suffering from it will find it difficult to empathize with it, but still let's be kind and not joke about it because it's not a joke
