Should actors be allowed to sing for their songs?

If a music composer thinks an actor fit to lend his/her voice for a song, then, can we really deny that? It is the 'vision' of the composer afterall. Is it not going to hinder creativity to say that some things are not be done?

Is this new trend(not exactly new, but is happening quite often now) pointless when there are umpteen number of good singers who lose out on 1-2 songs because actors are given the preference?

Where is our music industry heading to 😕 Discuss your thoughts on this new 'trend'. Also, have you guys ever enjoyed any song sung by an actor, especially from the recent past?

if actors can sing without auto tune, they can try for 1 or 2 songs just for a change, thats it. iske aage better leave songs for professional singers.

Item girls jobless hogaye because of A list heroines greediness. ab actors bhi gana gaane lage toh singers ka bhi yehi haal ho jayega

Why not? They should.. in Hollywood, back in the 30s-50s musical days.. the actors used to sing their own songs..ie. Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Gene Kelly..etc.

So why can't Bollywood actors sing their songs?

If their voice is good they can surely sing
But then it will be unfair to the professional singers too

For example Parineeti has a good voice
she has sung in Meri Pyaari Bindu as well

BW early days they used to do that, Saigal could sing and act

When musicals were popular in HW most of the actors starring in them did their own singing

The diff is they were talented professional level singers.

If a person is multi-talented and if s/he wants to flourish her/his talent then they should be given chance.

But 'actors' should not be given chance to sing or perform on big platforms fokat mein just because they are 'actors' or 'stars'. They should prove their capability.
