LOL. Like Irfan, Tabu is Tabu in EVERY SINGLE movie, same expressions and same dialogue delivery. 🤢 And i find her dialogue delivery atrocious as hell. Her Urdu dictation is abysmal. If you want to see what actual Urdu dialect is you should watch old Pakistani dramas.

THIS!! Finally someone said it.. i thought i was the only one never understood the hype about Irrfan Khan, Tabu or Rajkumar Rao.. they're extremely one note & overrated actors.

Give Tabu a Chandramukhi..or a Paro.. or a Chandni..or a Chalbaaz.. she won't be able to deliver.

The only actress I can think of when it comes to "one note" is Sonam Kapoor.

Even Katrina Kaif manages 1.5 notes.

Deepika/Anushka/Kangana/Vidya/Alia/Parineeti have a full spectrum of notes and tones.

As far as female actors go, Anushka is more or less the same in every movie (barring NH10). Katrina of course and they don't even pretend anymore. Parineeti, I feel, is versatile but she's been typecast.

Kareena can do anything. When she has to play normal woman roles (Agent Vinod, Ki aur Ka, and even Kurbaan), she ends up acting the same way. Give her a Chameli, JWM, Talaash, etc. and she will excel. I wouldn't call her one-note, hence. Nobody beats her in screen presence though.

Sonam's diction is the same in all movies. She does have a presence though, which I feel Anushka lacks.

I loved Alia in UP. It was such a powerful performance. She was good in Highway too. Apart from these two movies, Alia is the same in every movie. It's basically Alia in and as...

Obvs, Shraddha, but she can't even act as much as Katrina, so what's the point?
