I understand Yami can't really afford to speak against it as this is the single endorsement that keeps her on screen almost constantly. But I wish she kept quiet. Her ads are direct digs at women with darker complexion. They apparently are not qualified for jobs & marriage & success. How's that not offensive, missy?

This is such a shallow view of the entire situation. But not too entirely disappointed in her. Never had the highest opinion of her anyway.

On a different note, I hope that the whole obsession with fairness will diminish in my lifetime.

There is no harm as long as you don't imply that being dark is not meant to get you places in the world.. The fairness creams can also focus on simply looking good.. But the problem is that ads are meant to show that using the product would do you a world of good.. Like without coffee, you would not be able to get up from bed and go about with your work, Thumbs up gives you the courage to perform stunts,, Chocolates would get you your crush.. So fairness creams have a bit of a tough job at their hands and unfortunately they end up taking the easy way out

Iska yahi aek endorsement bacha hain, she's legit totally jobless otherwise lol. But yeah, so long as idiotic fairness adverts don't promote darkskinned people (the majority of the population) cannot advance in life, it will be a problem. Their portrayal of people is a legit joke and deserves to be ridiculed, along with jobless people like Yami who defend them.

"The brand has the right to advertise a product but you cannot show that not being fair is an upsetting thing. You can advertise your brand but showing that not being fair is something to be upset and sad about is not correct,"
