Could Aamir have matched SRK's performance in Darr?

Aamir was the first choice for Darr, and he was all set to sign the film. He backed out because he wanted a joint narration with Sunny Deol, which he didn't get from Yash Chopra. He even got the leading lady changed (Juhi was cast in place of Divya Bharti).

Do you think he could have matched SRK's performance in the film?

Apparently even the songs were recorded such that they matched Aamir's style and voice.

Nobody does psycho roles better than SRK

SRK and Juhi were perfect for those roles. Darr is one of my All Time favorite movies

Honey Irani wrote a great screenplay and direction by Yashji was one of his best.

He would have done a better job.

Aamir is very underrated!!!! Doesn't get credit for his acting chops.

No! Not the fear, or obsession definitely. Aamir too played an obsessive lover in "Deewana Mujse Nahin" were he was a creepy stalker. But he fell flat. That movie was weird any because they glorify the stalking and obsession. They make Aamir and Madhuri fall in love and live happily ever after. But no I dont think he could have done the villain better. If only SRK continued experimenting. Dil Se is another performance that I dont think many others could have matched.

NO, SRK was brilliant as the obsessive lover. He outshined everyone and no wonder Sunny paaji got furious, fought with Yashji. Anti national would have fallen flat on his smug face.

Juhi was perfect for her role, her chemistry with both Sunny and SRK was good and she looked beautiful
