Priyanka and Deepika are trying to make a name for themselves and also trying to have a long term career and sadly that is not possible in Bollywood after a certain age. The uneducated people of India call actresses post 32(or even 30),buddhi, aunty and what not. The Educated ones are no different, they also have the same mentality and so does the media. It has happened to every big actress ,does not matter how talented or good at work they are. Ofcourse, the actresses can work in niche films or small budget films but the plum roles wont go to them.

In this scenario, if they are restarting their career, why are people(especially Indians) trying to pull them down or calling them wannabes and desperate flopstars? Atleast ,its better to be struggling than to be out of work in India.

If they stay there, people will call them "desperate flopbees" and if they return here. people will say "Hollywood bhaga diya, buddhi ho gayi, career is finished if they deliver one flop film like kangana did". What do people want?😕

Lastly, why are the people on this form so sardonic and cynical? Why do they revel in someone's failure? Why are they happy when someone fails? Is it because their own lives are flop? Do they derive vicarious and sadistic pleasure from someone else's failure because life has been harsh to them and they could not do anything about it ?

tbh i think it feels great to have the opportunity to blast someone
as often we also get roasted by constant social scrutiny n comparisons ..
now we cnt really give it back to the persons we know as
we are cautious to not enter into their bad books so
blasting the unrelated unknown is safer n risk free
enjoyment 😈

I'll tell you what it is .. PC and DP fans will remain so irrespective of the actors staying in HW or BW. The non-fans just need an excuse to speak shit.
That's how it is for all the actors.
The truth is some people speak sarcastic stuff just for the sake of fun but some others actually speak it out of bitterness of their existence maybe.

But if you really think about it .. the actors are just another sort of professionals .. is it fair that they gather much more limelight than they deserve? There are more important causes in this country that can use the attention and the money. Yes, the money .. it is a bit too much that these guys get paid. So, overall the point I am trying to put across is -- agreed that there is too much negativity from the non-fans but then there is similar level of over indulgence and attention/money/power/influence etc. and all the advantages that an actor gets for honestly no rhyme or reason. They don't do any path-breaking or socially uplifting work that this society upholds them so much.

Age is just another factor that is used in negative light when people want it used for that. As for the female actors not getting work after a certain age, I guess that myth is already been broken for the past few years. Ash, Vidya, Kareena, even Madhuri, Sridevi have all been given opportunities. Some were able to make it at BO, some not. The ones who can't get good BO will of course not be approached by as many film makers. That holds good for men too.

I am happy for both of them. They went out of their comfort zone and tried something new. It is not easy to shift base and start afresh.
Blind hatred is the reason for people always putting them down. But they are not going to get impacted by any of it. They will continue getting good projects if they are worth it.

An anand rai film wont be offered to kareena/Vidya and not even Priyanka if she continued to work in india... but to sonam/katrina(coz she is a firangi and again uneducated Indians /colonized educated Indians who love everything videshi have a big role to play in her success)/anushka/deepika

I tell you the level of bitterness I have seen on this forum has taken me by surprise. People these days just need to find an excuse to pull someone down. It's worse on twitter as far as I can see.
And the growing number of self-righteous people who find fault in everything and go about moral policing, projecting their own sensitivities on celebs.

It's not 'Indian mentality', please, you and me and several good members here are Indians, now we do not have same mentality do we? 😊

I've seen this awful mentality on twitter towards HW celebs too, it's just - immature mentality.

As for actresses who are venturing to HW, really, do people who sit behind their computer screens really think they are so dumb to make their own career choices? And they do so after much thinking, consulting, and so on... It's not so easy to make big big career decisions even if they may be driven by fame or competition. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. Perhaps the success is not the motivating factor and that gaining work experience is the driving force behind it.
