Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious retelling of Ramayana has been one of the most talked about upcoming projects in Indian cinema. Headlined by Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Raavan, the film has generated massive curiosity even before its release. With its scale, star power and the responsibility of bringing an epic deeply rooted in Indian culture to the big screen, every update related to the film has been closely followed by fans and industry insiders alike.

Amid the constant buzz, several reports have surfaced regarding new additions and changes to the cast. Recently, rumours suggested that Raghav Juyal had been roped in to play the role of Meghanad, replacing Vikrant Massey. However, Vikrant Massey, best known for his performance in 12th Fail, took to social media to clarify that he was never associated with the film in any capacity. Now, another casting speculation has been put to rest, with Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi confirming that he is not part of Ramayana.

According to Bollywood Hungama, Vijay Sethupathi addressed the rumours while speaking to senior journalist Subhash K Jha and said, “No, sir. I am not a part of this project. No clue where this is coming from.” Reports had earlier claimed that the Farzi actor would be seen portraying the role of Vibhishana in the film, which led to widespread discussion across social media platforms.

The repeated clarifications from actors highlight the level of speculation surrounding Ramayana and the eagerness of audiences to know more about its ensemble cast. Given the magnitude of the project, even unconfirmed reports quickly gain momentum, often forcing the actors or the makers to step in and clarify.

While the filmmakers have remained tight lipped about further casting details, it is clear that Ramayana continues to dominate headlines. With production moving steadily and expectations running high, fans are now waiting for official announcements from the makers rather than relying on circulating rumours.
