It's okay to criticize. They are public persons and both praise and brickbats will come their way so I think it's okay up to a point. It just starts getting really weird when the jabs are vicious and extreme, which I've seen often too.

I also disagree that most people can take what they dish out to public persons. In fact, even in this forum, people start shouting and screaming and playing victim the minute someone makes a single personal comment about them.

Also do think there is some bitterness that leads to this behavior on the internet. Sometimes I wonder if this place is full of supermodels the way people go on and on mercilessly trashing celebrities' looks and how ugly they are and how old they look.

There's also the opposite too - way too much identification with a star that suddenly their accomplishments are your accomplishments - all the gloating or pride for someone else' box office numbers as if you accomplished something yourself and not random people you don't even know. Same as the angry attacks when some celebrities' relationship ends and fans starts acting like jilted lovers themselves as they were the ones dumped.

This isn't just a Bollywood issue..This happens in Hollywood and other entertainment fields as well... it is global!!!

Blind hatred. If their favorite went they would be defending them night and day. I'm extremely happy that both are doing what they love and as they should be. Most people on IF should STFU.
