I thought movie was based on Latif and not an autobiography. There is a difference. The former allows writers to use certain elements of person's life and create another protagonist who may not have same behavior. The latter needs to follow the life story to the T.

Raees may have used skeleton of someone's life but the essence is pure fiction. If I want to see movie about communal riots I will see something like Garam Hawa.

Bombay Bomb Blast was direct link to real life characters, that wasn't necessary for this film if it was on fiction.

It was a fictional film inspired by Abdul Lateef, not based on him. Abdul Lateef wasn't even Shia in real life.

See that's where i got confused ...raess is shown as shia and i wanted to ask someone if Abdul Lateef was Shia too because that's one thing you won't want to distort if you are basing a film on someone

Well many people I know have avoided watching this movie due to this. I didn't know about the story etc, however, once known, I avoided going to the theatre too.

Not sure why to glorify a terrorist ? The movie Haider left me confused too !
