Late Sunjay Kapur’s family and Karisma Kapoor’s kids Samaira and Kiaan Raj Kapur are embroiled in a legal dispute over inheritance with Priya Sachdev Kapur. They have raised suspicions on the will made by late Sunjay Kapur citing it could be forged. As per the legal papers, Sunjay Kapur has left everything to Priya Sachdev and her kids, Azarias and Safira. Sunjay Kapur and Priya had a son, Azarias while Safira is her child from her former husband Vikram Chatwal.

Mandhira Kapur Smith who did an interview with Vickey Lalwani on his YouTube channel revealed how she believes that Priya Sachdev indirectly pushed Sunjay Kapur towards divorce with Karisma Kapoor. She said that while Sunjay and Karisma had issues, they did try to make it work. She said the fact Kiaan Raj Kapur was born after their brief separation is a testimony to the fact. She said that Sunjay Kapur met Priya Sachdev on a flight and they became friends. Mandhira Kapur Smith said that Priya would message him constantly. She described Karisma Kapoor as one of her best friends, and reveals the actress told her of the same.

Mandhira Kapur Smith said she does not give her late brother a clean chit in the matter. “Men will be men. It takes two hands to clap together. But it is shocking that as a divorced woman herself with a young child how did she actively pursue Sunjay knowing that he was father to two young kids,” she said. Mandhira Kapur Smith asked what kind of woman would think of doing this to another lady who is mom to two young kids.

She further said that Sunjay Kapur doted on this kids. Mandhira Kapur Smith said that their father, Surinder Kapur did not like Priya Sachdev at all. He had warned his son, Sunjay against marrying her and having a child with her. Surinder Kapur passed away in 2015 while Priya and he married in 2017. “He did not like her at all. Dad doted on his six grandchildren. He would always say that no matter what is the condition of our marriages, the children should not suffer,” said Mandhira.

“Karisma did not deserve the divorce. She worked hard to make her marriage work. It should not have happened,” lamented Mandhira.
