Smriti Mandhana’s much-anticipated wedding with Palash Muchhal has been put on hold following a medical emergency involving her father, Shrinivas Mandhana. The sudden turn of events led not only to postponement but also to the removal of wedding-related posts from social media, signaling the seriousness of the situation.

The Indian cricket star deleted all images and videos associated with her wedding festivities from Instagram. This included her viral engagement video and other posts celebrating the pre-wedding functions. According to Tuhin Mishra, Smriti’s business manager, the family was in the midst of wedding preparations when Shrinivas Mandhana experienced heart attack-like symptoms at their farmhouse. An ambulance was called immediately, and he was admitted to Sarvhit Hospital in Sangli, Maharashtra, on November 23, 2025. The sudden health scare forced the family to halt all wedding activities.

Sources confirmed that Smriti and her close family members stayed at the hospital during the emergency. As of now, her father’s condition is stable, and medical staff are monitoring him closely. The wedding ceremony scheduled for Sunday has been officially called off, and no new date has been announced. Both families have requested privacy as they focus on Shrinivas Mandhana’s recovery.

The wedding, initially set for November 23, 2025, had already seen vibrant celebrations including haldi and mehendi functions, attended by family, friends, and teammates from the Indian women’s cricket team. The couple’s pre-wedding festivities also featured a friendly cricket match, giving the event a modern, lively touch. Decorations had been prepared, but they were removed once the emergency arose, leaving families and fans awaiting further updates on when the wedding may resume.
