Could Anushka or Sonam have done Mastani better than Deepika?! - Page 3

If the director is SLB and the script was same not even Madhuri or Sridevi could have done Mastani better than DP . I agree Mastani was not appealing but the reason is it was badly written character .
I cannot envision Anushka in such roles , no comments on Sonam , Isn't her role in PRDP is enough 😆

Anushka would have acted better and Sonam would have looked better..but SLB's earlier choices were perfect. Aishwarya or Kareena.

ya, totally, right...they should ve gotten Mastani, Piku, Tamasha, chennai express, HNY, even OSO... kya pata had Anushka done Tamasha maybe it wouldve helped sail RK's career boat a bit earlier. Anyone other then DP wouldve been good...even Yami Gupta, wudve done a better job.

Sonam or Anu both have ideal mastani but Sonam will not cone with rs as they r mama n bhanji. Even sonakshi would have been done justice to mastani.

Critics ripped her apart for her zombie act...even Sen who's a DP fan. 😆
So any good actress could have done Mastani.

Look wise Anuska is too urban so crossed in the first place. Sonam has a very beautiful Indian face but screen presence wise she is nothing in front of Deepika..We or critics can rip apart DP whenever we want but the maximum citi and taali in theatre was reserved for Deepika only in real life during Deewani Mastani..

I think Dips was taylor made for the role however if anyone did it in the early 2000s, it'd have to be Aish or Bebo.

@bold- the same was said for PC too- too western looking! Look what SLB made her out to be. Deewani Mastani was not just Deepika it was team work, the same team would've worked for other actresses too. Deepika was in other songs too, and they didn't get any seeti or taali so it's not just DP 😆 btw Ranveer's entry earned a lot of taalis too, specially that cheeteh ki nazar dialogue!
