Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor added star power to the premiere of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, held in Mumbai on Tuesday evening. The couple arrived together and quickly became the centre of attention on the red carpet.
Alia chose a bold white gown with a backless design and thin straps. A slim white belt with a gold buckle tied the look together. Her slick bun and minimal jewellery kept the focus on the outfit. Makeup in neutral tones added to the understated but striking appearance.
Ranbir opted for a sharp white blazer over a crisp shirt, paired with black tailored trousers. His neat hairstyle and clean look complemented Alia’s ensemble, making them one of the most photographed pairs of the night.

In an interaction with Radio Nasha, Deol explained, “It is its concept, it is the way the show is written. When you watch the show, then when you look at the title and you will understand. I remember when I did the film Gupt, people did not understand the title of the film, but then Kajol turned out to be the murderer, so then they understood why we named it Gupt.”
The series has been building steady buzz as Aryan Khan’s first outing behind the camera. It brings together a strong cast that includes Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Mona Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh and Vijayant Kohli. Rajat Bedi and Gautami Kapoor are also part of the ensemble. Special appearances by Salman Khan, Karan Johar and Ranveer Singh are expected to add to the draw.
Described as a fast-paced show with stylised storytelling, The Ba**ds of Bollywood* combines humour, ambition and chaos in its narrative. The preview hints at an underdog journey set against the backdrop of a cutthroat industry. The series is scheduled to release on Netflix on September 18.
