The comparison didn't lie in the nepotism point but in the transition from TV to Cinema.
One can be a TV star but will fail to appeal on the Silver Screen like Sarah Michel Gellar, Jessica Biel, Alexis Bledel, Kristen Bell.

Yeah, but they were given a chance in movies and were rejected by the audience. But for everyone rejected there is a JLO who started as a backup dancer on TV and went on to have a huge music, film and fashion career. At one point she had a #1 movie and album on the same weekend. Brad Pitt started in a soap, he is a mega producer now of Oscar nominated movies (12 years a slave was produced by him) in addition to having a career for years as a heart throb.

One can start on TV and win Oscars too. Jennifer Lawrence started on TV. Even reality stars win Oscars as Jennifer Hudson proved. Point I am trying to make, once you get a foothold into the entertainment business it is up to the person to make a mark. They are given films as a result of their talents, not 3 films with good directors before debut like Harsh and all because he was Anil Kapoor's son while TV actors with proven talent get shitty scripts and directors. So how in the world can you compare Harsh and a BW TV actor to anyone in HW ?

Ok trailer, though I still didn't get much from it 😆
Saiyami is pretty and seems to be much better than whoever it was in Mohenjodaro (only based on trailers)

The HW part was to answer a previous comment saying that TV actors weren't given chances.

Now regarding nepotism it's just that HW kids are too lazy. A lot of them are "actors/model". There IS nepotism in Hollywood too but it's not as obvious.

From what I get from the interviews and trailers. Sayami and Harsh were childhood friends and went as far as tattooing each other's name. Sayami's family emigrates to England and when she'll come back in India, she'll have forgotten her friend while he still remembers her.
They'll reconnect when he'll give her horseriding lessons (Aave Re Hitchki song) and fall in love. BUT she's already engaged to someone else.
It seems she'll run away after her marriage (Teen Gawah song she's still wearing her bridal dress and mangalsutra if I'm not wrong)
Their story will parallel Mirza Sahibaan's but here it's not society nor their parents who'll affect their relation but their decisions.

This! Sayami has a little something while Pooja is just pathetically bland.

intriguing !!

dont know why people are calling him as bad actor tagging along with sonam ! cos he is brother of sonam automatically becomes bad actor to some intellectual fans even without watching the movie and just based on 2 min trailer !

I have a feeling this movie will be like Tamasha. Theatre-esque. I think (thought?) Harsh is hot but he's only okay in the trailer.

@Bold Which TV actor other than SRK has reached those heights in BW ? Name one single actor. You said you answered. Where ?

@Red Are you kidding me ? And all the BW star kids are hard working, talented and deserve a break while HW star kids are lazy? 🤔. No, they fail because they are not talented. if they pass, they become an Angelina Jolie. Seriously. If HW had the same level of nepotism we would be flooded with similar horrific level of performance we are sentenced to in BW. Harsh has prepared, done solid work but for every Harsh there are 10 star kids who are launched and waiting in the wings on the basis of daddy or mommy's talents while outsiders are facing casting couches, even TV actors. So don't even compare.

If you are entering the industry based on being the relative of your father and sister and look like your sister, chances are people will automatically tag you a bad actor if they consider your sister one. Kind of goes with the territory until proven otherwise.

Absolutely. When someone is handed a career not on merit but based on nepotism, higher expectations go hand in hand. Not when outsiders are facing casting couches. I will not be as harsh (HA !) on a TV actor or an outsider. I was this harsh on Ranbir and Alia until their performance shut me up. If Harsh is a good actor, I will absolutely change my tune but I expect a 3 year preparation to yield solid results from the gate. So we will see.
