The hero speaks barely a line in the full trailer.
I suspect he is an awful actor.

It the trailer I think but some people were confused as it didn't give away much about the story or the actor's performances.

I think it all comes down to charisma and X factor. Nepotism is natural in most societies but talent will ensure that the undeserving ones won't get more than they can chew. A lot of starkid actually went MIA and only those having a little something managed to stay relevant.

Also even in Hollywood TV actors have difficulties crossing over successfully into cinema. I can think of George Clooney but who else ?

Johnny Depp, Will Smith, Jim Carrey, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, Ryan Gosling, Leo, Michelle Williams, Robin Williams, Steve Carrell, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Pierce Brosnan, Meg Ryan . If you are not too particular about acting Shia Le Beouf, Zac Effron, Vanessa Hudgens, Blake Lively, Katie Holmes. And these are off the top of my head.

ETA: Tom Hanks. IIRC. People like Brad Pitt and Meg Ryan got their start in soaps.

Looks bad! Harsh has terrible dialogue delivery. So hard to understand what he's saying! The actress looks fine. iMO she seems better than harsh with respect to acting.

Some of the actors you named aren't successful or haven't made it to the A list.

Others have forgetable experience in TV or were kids before they crossed over.

Will Smith and Jenifer Aniston had iconic roles like George and were quite popular as individuals already.
