The ideal scenario is obviously a solo release but sometimes you can't avert a clash or think a particular date is indeed right to release your movie even if another movie is coming on the same date.

Adi has only worked with him so far. Befikre is the first project where he is working with a different male lead so this notion that he's chasing the past in order to be have BO success is something I couldn't disagree more with. He worked with Adi when Adi was a complete newcomer. He has worked with the likes of Farah and Karan when they were newcomers. They are considered big names now but that wasn't the case when he worked with them. So the fact that they are big names now and he happens to be working with them means he's working with them because of that reason? Come on now! Imtiaz's last film didn't work at the BO so by your logic Shahrukh shouldn't be working with him but he's. As for the chemistry or the lack of that you refer to , well I disagree there as well. Anushka and Shahrukh in my humble opinion have terrific chemistry , whether it be their scenes in JTHJ or RNBDJ. As for riding bikes with SK or what you refer to as chamchagiri 😆, considering how many here seem to think he's quite PR savvy , I think most out there who have an iota of idea about how PR works would know a move like that wasn't going to do anything for his image. So it was the friendship talking there than anything else.

If I remember right, he was offered Raees right after CE released. He prioritized 3 movies before it...HNY, Fan, and Dilwale...the shooting date kept getting pushed that it seemed like he was never going to do it..of course this is all MY inference, MY opinion on his actions. In between, he used to talk about some ABC film of his senior's from school that he was going to do for sure..this movie never even happened. I thought the same would happen for Raees. Everything with Raees he has delayed a lot. Raees could have easily released in September ...taken BBD's date (which is a Bakrid holiday)...or even taken the Gandhi Jayanti weekend that Rangoon vacated. But SRK will face this problem regularly if he wants to rebel and not announce dates in advance..it's absolutely fine if he doesn't want to conform, but then be prepared for the consequences and stop asking others to change their plans.

Dear Zindagi is a small film and could have released at any time. It is an Alia-centric movie anyways. SRK will probably not gain or lose anything from it (unless it is another flop).

No it's not the first time SRK's done it..and yes, from a business perspective I get sorting it out internally and yes it is smart...but the primary difference between CE & Raees was that CE was not getting postponed to Eid with OUATIMD already there..and the reason for that was not "2 big films can't get the right release size so we decided to postpone it"...CE was giving it's first date...and SRK was asking them to move by 1 week to Independence Day holiday..here he is suggesting Kaabil move some 3-4 months away.

The rest we will have to agree to disagree :)

He should use that to select some good work and not worry about how big a hit it will be. His biggest problem is not numbers. It's that the audience doesn't trust him after back to back bad movies. He has to prove to people that he's worth paying attention to again.

That's not true,otherwise so many big films wouldn't have clashed.July went with Sultan and then Dhishoom in between Kabali.August will be spend with Rustom MD.September will be with Bar Bar Dekho which is Excel and Dharma's.October 2nd was there but Rangoon postponed after the declaration of 26th.Then Oct is Diwali and ADHM and Shivay is going to clash.The will have his own film which is apparently clashing with Kahani,Farhan's film also.Then December Adi's film and then Aamir's.So where is the plenty of dates?

Actually from the beginning SRK has behaved under-confidently about Raees. He kept pushing it again and again...at one point I was convinced he was going to ditch it last minute & never do it...had only said yes b/c of his friends Farhan and Riteish..

I have no idea when this happened because if any way he would have been apprehensive about a film it should have been FAN because from the beginning of the movie the director said he will not add any songs in the movie which is the biggest minus for a bolly movie.Raees still has songs and dancing.When he didn't get scared about FAN,there is no way he will do a favor onfriends by doing Raees.Infact he was given three scripts,Bar Bar Dekho,Raees and some other one and he chose Raees.

Then look at the directors he is considering working with next ...

Past few years he gave his dates to Farah,Rohit,FarhanYash ji,Karan..Then he gave his dates to Manish,Rahul,Gauri...Then he gave his dates to Anand,Imtiaz...Then he is thinking of giving his dates to Sanjay,Adi...So how many directors are exactly left!Hirani,Kabir or Vishal,Anurag Kashyap.Yes,there must be plenty but still there you can see a pattern or I am wrong in seeing the pattern that he is doing films with many directors and when he is liking the scripts.

Lastly, what exactly was wrong with Dilwale and FAN.In case of Dilwale I remember you liked the film and was surprised that you liked it.And don't tell me just because people bashed it as a bad film and it so called didn't earn money we are now going to question ourselves for liking a movie.It doesn't work that way and shouldn't.And in case of FAN,he got so much accolades for his acting,what more one need!So why exactly we are questioning his selection!We are not enjoying his films or because of PK and BB!

And how exactly chamchagiri works!If cycling with Salman is chamchagiri then mentioning his name in Sultan must also be equal chamchapana.So its weird that both the chamchas are doing chamchagiri of one another.
