If I remember right, he was offered Raees right after CE released. He prioritized 3 movies before it...HNY, Fan, and Dilwale...the shooting date kept getting pushed that it seemed like he was never going to do it..of course this is all MY inference, MY opinion on his actions. Dear Zindagi is a small film and could have released at any time. It is an Alia-centric movie anyways. SRK will probably not gain or lose anything from it (unless it is another flop).

No it's not the first time SRK's done it..and yes, from a business perspective I get sorting it out internally and yes it is smart...but the primary difference between CE & Raees was that CE was not getting postponed to Eid with OUATIMD already there..and the reason for that was not "2 big films can't get the right release size so we decided to postpone it"...CE was giving it's first date...and SRK was asking them to move by 1 week to Independence Day holiday..here he is suggesting Kaabil move some 3-4 months away.

I'm not sure as to when he exactly came on board for Raees but he filmed Raees while he was filming for Dilwale. FAN that was supposed to come out last year ended up getting delayed because of post production. And Raees that was supposed to come out this year on EID ended up shifting to Jan because he didn't want a clash with Sultan. Now you can look at the move however you want and I get your opinion to that degree where you are questioning him shifting the movie but Shahrukh or anyone associated with Raees has never said he is not fully on board or that he's doing it despite not fully buying the concept or whatever. If anything , his co-stars have talked about how great he's in the movie and he himself has talked about how the project is looking good. HNY is a movie that him and Farah were supposed to do before their fall out happened. So as soon as things got sorted out , he signed that movie. He was on board with that one back in 2012 if I'm not wrong. Like I said I'm not sure as to when he exactly signed Raees but I remember reading that Farhan was earlier on board to do the role Nawaz is doing now so perhaps the delay happened due to that i.e if there was indeed some delay there. BBD is an Excel movie , how are we so sure that they would have been cool shifting that one? Maybe they don't want to. And Rangoon shifted after Raees had already shifted to Jan. I don't think it's the question of being a rebel. Any producer I'm sure would want a solo release but sometimes that ends up not happening. Raees was slated to come on EID this year but then YRF decided to come out with the release date of Sultan. So it's not like like they didn't announce it in advance. But sometimes despite announcing the dates in advance , you will end up shifting your date. It ain't the first time it has happened. It just so happens it's probably the first time Shahrukh has decided to shift it , usually it's the other way around and I absolutely get when people label that move however they do. Because the same folks a lot of the times see him as arrogant when he there's a clash so the contradictory opinion is expected in this case.

Even if it's a small movie and one that revolves around Alia's character , the production houses behind it obviously feel it's apt to release on Nov 25.

Where has he suggested that Kaabil should shift three or four months ahead? Kaabil has just started filming if I'm not wrong and all he has said is that Raees is almost done , just some post production work is going on on it which is why they decided to release it on 26 Jan. Nowhere has anyone from Team Raees said that Kaabil should shift to May or April. That's anyways not a decision that they are in control of. One doesn't even know at this point if Kaabil is even shifting.
