Films You Won't Believe Shah Rukh Khan Rejected!

Ek Tha Tiger: Shah Rukh Khan may have surely cited date issue to sign Kabir Khan's film Ek Tha Tiger, but it seems SRK's decision to opt out of superspy action film must have surely made him regret.

Munna Bhai MBBS:. Both Raju Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra wanted to signSRK for this film, and it seems we should be thankful to SRK for rejecting this film as no one else can play the role of Sanjay Dutt in Munnabhai MBBS. Wondering how the film would have been with Shah Rukh Khan as Munnabhai?

Lagaan: Director Ashutosh Gowariker offered the role of Bhuvan' in Lagaan to Aamir Khanwho initially rejected the offer. Later, the director went to SRK who was also not interested to be part of the film. But finally Aamir Khan managed to be part of the film and rest is history.

Rang De Basanti: The classic Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra film Rang De Basanti was first offered to Shah Rukh Khan who rejected the film for some reason

Kaho Na Pyaar Hai: King Khan Shah Rukh Khan went through the script of Rakesh Roshan'sKaho Na Pyaar Hai but later he rejected it.

3 Idiots: Another gem of a movie was rejected by Shah Rukh Khan, which eventually landed intoAamir Khan's kitty. 3 Idiots became the highest grosser film of Indian Cinema.

Robot: Tamil director Shankar wanted Shah Rukh Khan to be part of Robot, a film thatRajinikanth eventually did in Tamil.

Jodha Akbar: Yet another film Ashutosh Gowariker wanted to sign Shah Rukh Khan, but SRKrejected the film due to personal reasons and he also didn't like the shooting locations of the film.

Slumdog Millionaire (2008)
Shahrukh Khan rejected the role of Anil Kapoor in the movie and regrets turning it down. Slumdog was widely acclaimed and praised for its plot, soundtrack, and direction.

No, he is a business man who forgot what art is... long long time ago. Script of a film never mattered when money was talking.

I also think so.

I think main reason he never developed it was he had YRF and Dharma and other top directors helping him always.

Ah,he did not sign many great movies..👎🏼

bt i cannot imagine any one else spec in place of sanjay in Munna bhai.the role was for him.

and also in jodha akbar.HR gracefully acted in that.

if these really offered to him at first place,it means us ne apna pair kulhari py mara..👎🏼😒kulhari seems to be films that he choosen.😛

glad he did not do EK tha tiger,salman did it well.one of my most fav movie..😊

lagan - one 2 ka 4 , ashoka the great (he would be drunk ,that he left lagan and done that crap movies)

3 idiots - billu (again he left such a great movie for such a crap)

robot - MY name is khan (he did it right,MNIK is one of his best movie,donot know about business though)

Slumdog - Rab ne bana di jodi (though like RNBDJ bt again he left a great movie for such a trivial role)

He was never offered RDB, JA, ETT and KNPH. The writer of the article needs to get his facts right. SM was a small role...Anil Kapoor who did it didnt benefit in anyway. He couldnt do Munnabhai as he had to undergo an operation for his knee/back. His inputs to the script was taken and he was also duly credited for it. Others he declined for various reasons. But I will say he has poor script sense not because he declined these films but because he thought CDI would be a disaster.

Anyway you win some and lose some...Salman declined Bazigar and CDI,Aamir declined Darr which went on to be important films in SRK's career.
