The problem is that there is an obvious disconnect between what SRK should do, what he wants to do, what he likes, what the audience want him to do and what actually clicks. If that makes sense 😆 He can still do whatever cos he has achieved a lot in his career and it's okay if he fails now but his lack of confidence is his biggest undoing. The lack of self belief and confidence is his biggest issue right now.

No, we dont believe that SRK rejected all those movies, this article is full of BS! 😆

They expect us to believe that Rakesh Roshan would offer KNPH to SRK instead of launching his own son! 😆

KNPH was exclusively a launch vehicle for his son.

RDB, ETT, most of these are lies, none of these were offered to him.

If SRK's script sense was bad, he wouldnt have done CDI or Swades or Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman.

Basically he followed his romantic image in most movies he chose, he knew those would sell at that time, now he knows he has outgrown romance so now hes choosing alag kinds of scripts.

Facts just go out of the window here...huh! 😆 Baazigar, Deewana, OSO, MHN..just citing some examples here of movies that weren't produced by Dharma or YRF and went on to do quite well. But hey anything to discredit his success..right! Just having YRF or Dharma backing a project doesn't make it successful. If that were the case those production houses would have a 100% success rate. They have hired him as an actor in a lot of their movies because those films have gone on to do darn well at the BO and some of those have done quite well critically too.

With regards to Swades and JA, Shahrukh has stated he wanted to do JA but ended up doing Swades because Ashutosh's father wanted him to make that film first. Hardly a decision that can be attributed to his business acumen. He did Chak De despite knowing it wasn't your typical commercial film. Just like he did FAN knowing that. He has always tried to have a healthy balance between out and out commercial potboilers as well as movies where he gets to explore the actor in him. There are some movies where both end up happening in the same movie which is great but rare. His upcoming movies reflect the fact that he's trying to do varied roles whether it be a Raees or a Dear Zindagi.

Bingo. After 25 years, yes of course he has earned the right to do whatever he wants to do for himself but then just be confident and bullish about that. How can others [fans] have faith in what he's doing if doesn't seem to have confidence in himself and his decisions?

Exactly. Am so disappointed with the way he is dealing with Raees. It's okay if the film is trash. 5 years back, he wouldn't have given a damn. Look at him right now. Honestly the over confidence and arrogance as annoying as it was at times was part of his charm 😆 And he really needs to stop doing what works for others. Or work with a director just because it worked for him once.
