Akshay is pretty versatile, Aamir, I think isn't. I don't think that he can pull off romance or a negative character. Shahrukh, I think is close even though he doesn't really have comic timing, he excels majority of other genres and pulls off a negative character really well.

Disagree with you, aamir is one of best actors when it comes to comedy, he's not funny of screen but hilarious when it comes to acting in comic roles, andaaz apna apna, rangeela are good examples, he's also good in romantic genres he started out as a romantic hero. Rangeela technically isn't a comedy film but his character was hilarious. His weakness lies in action genre, he's not that believable in that genre, infact I even give govinda the edge in action as chi chi was good in his early years. Same with srk, srk just doesn't fit. Currently ajay, salman and akki are best action heroes in the country

There's big difference, those movies were masala commercial films with no realism, it's just made to entertain the masses, the movies akki done is offbeat genre with mini commercialisation but in realistic sense.

Just want to also point holiday is a commercial action thriller not offbeat films

Akshay used to be good in romantic roles, he was younger and sexier back then but is not that good in that genre anymore. Yeh dillagi was the first movie he got best actor nomination. His comeback films post 90s was in romantic genre, dhadkan (how can anyone forget this film is beyond me), and his superhit film andaaz and then there is namastey London which was more of a romantic drama film.

I guess none of the Khans, Akshay or Hrithik have attempted horror. Even in HW, the good actors keep away from this genre.

That's not fair, before we got annoyed that he's not balancing, now he's balancing, I'm not expecting all his films should be offbeat, hf3 is like dabang or chennai express series, let him do a film for masses, he has rustom just after that
