Karan didn't give him Kapoor and Sons? Who else is the head of Dharma?

He is being backed by an influential filmmaker/producer. Dharma is mainstream production house. They produce mainstream cinema. Working with Dharma puts you out there in many ways vs working with someone else otherwise.

And yes Jitesh loves him. If you're comprehending this in any other way then I can't do anything about that.

I understand that may be for you and many more people this is nothing and staying in pakistan and doing dramas would make Fawad more likable, but matter of fact is that he is loved by biggies like KJO and Jitesh pillai who only melts and helps either star kids or people whom they launch , but Fawad grabbed their eye balls, made sure that he worked with them and this indeed is a great step for his career in bollywood .

I never said that Fawad's outing in bollywood is what is his super stardom, i meant that he brought many fans and audience for pakistani dramas makes him a known and for many the only known superstar from pakistan . when i was recommended pak dramas by one of my pakistani friends, she had told me that star with watching a Fawad show and then may be you end up liking our shows.

And from whatever i have seen, Pakistani media and most people in social networking sites love Fawad and indeed put him on a pedestal, and i repeat i love the fact that he has not forgotten Pakistan, he belonged to that industry first and he is doing some good and big films over there and simultaneously doing a big banner film in Bollywood too..

I hope Kapoor & sons , Maula Jutt and Albela Rahi does wonders at the box office and he keeps signing films in both Bollywood and Lollywood 😆

I am not sure what you are trying to say here. Pretty much every actor whether its a starkid or outsider who is somewhat successful and considered in the game is backed by some top producer whether its KJo, AdiC, SajidN, SidRK. So what's wrong with KJo backing him? Fawad wont go anywhere if no one backs him in BW and thats how it works. And not every influential producer especially someone like KJo backs anyone or everyone especially if its an outsider like Fawad. So its definitely a huge deal for an outsider to be backed by a major producer.

If you feel there are other great actors from Pakistan who are not getting the same platform as him..no one stopped them. If Fawad can do it I dont see why cant they?

Edit add: In a different note some people are saying that Fawad is not the lead of K&S. Then I wonder what defines a lead. The movie is called Kapoor and SONS with him being one of the sons. He shot for the film as much as Sid and was all over the trailer dominating it. If this is not the lead I wonder what is? 😆Or people are taking PC's argument about hero's wife being the heroine for Krish3 seriously and saying Fawad is not the lead basing on some assumptions of Sid-Alia romance in the trailer?😆If anyone has a minor role in K&S its Alia and not Fawad.

Its true.

In turn they are trying to cash in on his already existing fanbase.

Coincidently so far he has been put in rom coms to play on the dashing man avatar his fans like him in.

Wasn't there an article that one son in 'Kapoor and Sons' was gay and I recall his fans hoping it was not Fawad because that is not the characters they want him to play.

That is fine but hardly shows diversity in acting ability if he is cast in virtually the same roles over and over again.

Of course successful people are backed by someone influential. I said exactly that. Fawads garnering success in Bollywood and he has good backing. It wouldn't have worked any other way for him. It's the same for him in Pakistan.

Yes it's a huge deal that an outsider is getting such backing within Bollywood. I agree. However if you're going to ask why aren't we creating threads on other Pakistani actors on a Bollywood forum why only Fawad? Well, sheesh.. that's a hard one. He's the only global superstar? Global by the way is global aka beyond just Pakistan and India. Bollywood doesn't just happen overnight. Its all calculative initially at least. If you're going to say talent alone was enough for Fawad to get noticed in Bollywood then that's being naive. Fawad has an entire persona built around him. Something that bollywood doesn't usually see. Also there were rumors that Karans mother was also one of the reasons why Kjo further took up Fawad. Since she probably loved his work or whatever. Once again, to use his standing in Bollywood to bring down other Pakistani artists doesn't quite make sense. If it makes sense to you that's fine...but talent alone doesn't cut it in Bollywood, never has...probably never will.

We can continue this all night by derailing what I initially tackled in my first few posts...but my points have been clear. That's all.

For a man who does not have the looks, body or outstanding acting/dancing talent - he is indeed over hyped and over rated.

Yet he is lot better than the handsome carved totem poles who can't emote to save their skin and who consider having 6-8-10-12-nth pack abs is the first and only requisite of acting.

I find his beaky nose offputting and I do not consider him goodlooking or handsome but he possesses a old world charm and a charisma that is 'chick pull' for many.

I have nothing against Fawad and I do consider him a more than decent actor. But oh boy is he overrated in this forum!
Pretty sure most cinema goers IRL didn't have any idea who he was unless Khoobsurat happened!

He's got good looks but in a very bland way! He's not really charmer off screen too. And TBH, if he was THAT good, he would not be stuck with playing parellel or second lead in multi-starrers!
