Something that bollywood doesn't usually see. Also there were rumors that Karans mother was also one of the reasons why Kjo further took up Fawad. Since she probably loved his work or whatever. Once again, to use his standing in Bollywood to bring down other Pakistani artists doesn't quite make sense. If it makes sense to you that's fine...but talent alone doesn't cut it in Bollywood, never has...probably never will.We can continue this all night by derailing what I initially tackled in my first few posts...but my points have been clear. That's all.
I am not a Pakistani and can speak for only Indians. Among Indians we know Pakistani politicians ie whoever is at the top atm, cricketers and singers. Among actors Fawad is the most known one and perhaps Mahira would also be known as she is doing a film with SRK. Some would have heard of people like Salma Agha, Ali Zafar who have done some work in BW in the past but they were never really that successful. From what I have followed Pakistani celebrities are known in places like Pakistan, Gulf, UK, USA, Canada and India ie places where there is a substantial Pakistani diaspora and India due to similarity in culture and a shared history. Fawad is pretty much popular among all these groups just as these cricketers or singers. So I dont know why you have a problem with him being called Pakistan's global superstar. If there are actors whose popularity expands beyond this group then enlighten me. From what I know only one from South Asia who is known across countries beyond traditional diaspora and local population is SRK. Not heard of any such Pakistani despite following Pakistani stars for couple of years now but maybe I am ignorant.
As for being calculative...yes everyone has to be calculative to survive in BW. So if Fawad is talented AND calculative its a bonus for his survival isnt it? If you are saying Fawad is in BW as he is calculative and talented while others from Pakistan are simply talented but not calculative enough then they must up their game. Even if such people get a break they would be thrown out if they are not smart enough.
