Bajrangi Bhaijaan is really a supercharged cross-border drama that goes full-scale - and then some - in delivering its message of subcontinental peace.
Bajrangi's real name is Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi. He is called Bajrangi because he's an ardent Hanuman bhakt. This is really a man so child-like and morally upright he says Jai Shree Ram to some prostitute and insists on entering Pakistan without having a passport or visa but the permission from the security officer who apprehends him with the border. Why is he so keen to travel across? Because a lost, speech-impaired six-year-old girl from Pakistan should be reunited with your ex mother. When other methods fail, Bajrangi decides he'll almost certainly do it himself.
The film opens which has a scene with a Pakistani village household watching a vital India vs Pakistan match. Inspired through the famous cricketer Shahid Afridi, a to-be mother through the household names her daughter as Shahida (Harshaali Malhotra). However Shahida hasn't uttered an individual word since her birth which worries her parents a whole lot. Finally her mother is mandatory to take her to some holy dargah in Delhi to find blessings. On their way time for Pakistan, Shahida sneaks out in the train to rescue a lamb that has fallen inside a pit. But instead, she ultimately ends up stranded on it's own in an unknown country. Enter her saviour- Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi (Salman Khan) lovingly often known as Bajrangi, an ardent Hanuman devotee who believes in always speaking the reality. He names her Munni and attempts to locate her parents. However his life turns the wrong way up when he discovers that Shahida/Munni is not only just a Muslim but in addition a Pakistani by nationality. Initially he can be a bit unwilling to help the young daughter. However his passion interest Rasika (Kareena Kapoor Khan) makes him know that humanity is most importantly religions and encourages him that can help her. Just when situations are about to improve, Munni gets trapped within an unfortunate event that turns the simpleton Bajrangi in a man on mission with the aid of a freelancer Pakistani reporter Chand Nawab (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). Will Pawan reunite Munni back with her parents? Why is Chand Nawab helping him? Is there something more to suit the eye?
Kabir Khan has churned an out and out entertainer with right doses of humour, emotions and patriotism. Looks like his magic in addition to Salman's stardom s all set to figure wonders for the box office. The director's capability to create drama in large, inimical vistas is a lot higher than in homelier arenas, therefore the first half passes by by amount of slackness, the location where the will-speak-the-truth-at-any-cost character of Bajrangi Bhaijaan is produced. It also is an introductory passage for the love-interest Raskia (Kareena Kapoor, setting up a strictly-by-the-numbers near-cameo appearance). The real film only starts post-interval, if your action shifts to Pakistan, with the trio out and about, by incorporating fun-and-frolic, a quwaali-in-a-dargah, as well as a picturesque if rousingly unreal climax. Kausir Munir's dialogues strike a right chord using the audience.Bajrangi Bhaijaan's story is written by V. Vijayendra Prasad ( who also wrote the blockbuster hit Baahubali'). He has penned a cross-border tale with perfect concoction of several elements. A predictable storyline is disappointing! Aseem Mishra's cinematography is worth praising!
Salman Khan's Review for Bajrangi Bhaijaan:
"Our intention...is always to be true to our work, so that the time and money which people spend to watch the movie doesn't get wasted. If the industry wants to survive, we have to raise the level of films, writing, screenplay, dialogues and visuals. Eventually, the final judge is the audience, who spend money to watch the film at the theater, and on the basis of their collections, we come to know that the movie is a one star, two star, three star, four star or a five star deserving movie...the critics should give their review after the end result of the movie," Salmansaid during a radio interview.
It is extremely refreshing to find out Salman Khan shedding his macho' avatar and embracing a long-lasting character whose innocence bowls you over completely. One can state that this is best performance of contemporary times. Kareena Kapoor Khan is great in her part. Nawazuddin Siddiqui's brilliant performance just isn't to be missed! He has you in splits together with his epic dialogues. Last yet not the least, be aware of the little star' Harshaali Malhotra whose twinkling eyes and dazzling smile do the many talking!
Bottom-line: Watch Bajrangi Bhaijaan even if you aren't an inveterate Salman Khan fan.Harshaali will steal your heart.
