Clearly one of the reasons was because of his name, that's why I hope Aradhya falls for someone with a muslim name so that they can get a heart attack along with the bachchans.
In the end Aishwarya won, she's got the respect she lacked earlier. She married into a bollywood family with deep political ties, who know how to hide their shit and convince the public their poop don't stink. What can better than that? She is mahaan now.

Ash went through hell in that relationship!no woman deserves to be abused, before or after she decides to move away.. no parent would be happy to see their daughter with a broken hand and numerous other abuses that was not even half visible to the world! Aish even gave a police statement from Hospital sometime after the breakup. During the time she was being treated for a hairline fracture. Yes, he was violent towards her. Also, Ranbir's background. Katrina chose the right person to be with, just like Aish. The situation would be different if this were some random face like Vivek. Regarding the digs towards Katrina, it's a power-play IMO. He always reminds her he holds power over her which was not the case with Aish. Also, Kapoors do not care about their girlfriends or wives. They shut them up and push them into rooms. Bachchans are no better but they have major political influence and protect their daughters/wives.

Salmaan's Majnu Act

THE Baniyan Khan seemed to have lost his shirt when his lady love refused to pay heed to the Taal he kept banging on her front door recently. According to eye witnesses, Salmaan Khan arrived at Aishwarya Rai's Brook Hill Towers, Lokhandwala complex, flat late on last Thursday night and rang for her. When she did not open the door, Salmaan started banging the door with his bare hands. The green-eyed beauty still did not respond and it appeared to have incensed the Bare Khan so much that he vented all his fury at the hapless door for a couple of hours. The drunken banging was punctuated with entreaties, love messages and plain abuses.

Residents of the complex told scribes that Pumped Up Khan even managed to cut himself during his Herculean bid to get past the door. A little blood was also spilt to heighten the effect of his ardour for her and underline Salmaan's favourite phrase for Ash: Hum dil de chuke sanam, tere ho chuke hai hum.

Though no official complaint was filed with the police, residents of the complex claimed that Boy Khan passed out at Ash's doorstep sometime during the night. He was evacuated from the spot by two of his cronies soon after 6 am when Ash opened the door to let the milkman in and Salmaan had his darshan of Angel Face.

Heart-on-the-sleeve Khan has had two prolonged and traumatic (for the girls) affairs in the past. In between them, he managed brief dalliances with over a dozen other actresses. Sangita Bijlani threw him out because of his atrocious behaviour. The next girl, Somy Ali, had insults, soft drinks and liquor heaped on her head but tolerated him for several years. The romance reportedly did not go down well with Ash's parents who thought that Plunderer Khan would do a Sangita-Somy encore on their daughter. However, Salmaan's friends insist that Ash has a very soft corner for him and point to their being together at private and public functions. Ash's shifting home from her parent's flat to her own is also said to be indicative of her closeness to him.

Salman was just trying to move on which he couldn't really and Katrina was enjoying being famous. As much as I loved this couple, they came across as boring, uncle aunty types.

Salman has still not been able to move on. His misses what could have been. He was madly in love with Aish. When he loves someone and cares for them, it turns in to obsession. And thats how far his live for Aishwariya took him.

Salman was verbally abusive, who expressed his anger by breaking objects, but physically violent, No. but each to own.

As for how Aish moved on, well she never loved him enough. By marrying Abhishek she proved love didn't matter to her. What mattered was the life in 20 years. The money, the fame, the peace, to live like a princess. She grapped Abhishek as soon as he fell in her beauty trap.

Salman missed the right time to get married, he said there was a time he was about to get married (when?) but that didn't happen for some reason and since then its been jinxed.
