Raveena was at her peak in 1994 with chain of hits like mohra, dilwale, laadla & cult andaz apna apna..she was just a few miles away from that supreme position but ended up doing professional suicide at the most crucial & important time of her career due to just bone ordinary man. :( Remember how abruptly Twinkle's career ended right after her marriage with akki.
I am glad the current generation of girls are way strong headed and don't like to live on a man's pre- decided conditions...

Except Twinkle didn't really have a career when she married Akshay. I'm not even sure if she had a single hit to her name, and from two or three movies of hers I had seen her facial expressions and dialogue delivery were atrocious. Ironically she has a solid and successful career now as in interior designer. Raveena really truly did lose a lot. But she seems happy in her personal life today though.

He was, he refused because he didn't want to play a negative role. He wanted the mother's revenge angle to be added which they refused but later ended up doing.

@BollyLuver Never heard about the Akshay one, his role didn't seem anything more than extended comeo, I can see why he would get mad 😆

Yes .When Abbas-Mastan approached him the character was suppose to be completely negative,in fact it was Salim Khan who suggested the mother angle.The directors refused but they add it later when they made the film with SRK

wow.. in this case I think then aamir and salman are the ones who gave srk a career in charity 😆 because Darr and Baazigar were the two solid initial super hits that truly established srk in bollywod ... He would not even got Ddlj If darr and baazigar would not have been rejected by salman and aamir..

Man I would be mega pissed if I were Salman Khan. Though today it doesn't seen to have affected his career much, but at the time this was a very bad move by the film makers.

Maybe they each can mention it the next time they are on KWK lol. Honestly though I have never thought of it this way. I mean not to take away anything from his own hard work (and abundance of good luck) but this is an interesting angle to his stardom.

Omg..very interesting facts, I am glad I made this thread as I didn't knew about all these past happenings.
