Rani's role in Ghulam was to have been played by Pooja Bhatt first. Media was really excited about it because of the rumors of affair and then falling out between Pooja and Aamir. I do not know how or why Pooja ended up not doing it.

That's true I also read the pooja bhatt news for ghulam and it is authentic. But I guess it was not Pooja's loss as 1. Ghulam was just above average 2. The role was nothing great, while pooja has done gems of roles like tamanna and zakham before ghulam,s release.
3. People still fondly remember the electrifying chemistry between a young a amir and young slim cute pooja bhatt of dil hai ke manta nahi... 7 years later when ghulam came in late 90s, pooja has lost those looks and I doubt they would have looked as magical in ghulam as they were in dhkmn..and its a good thing as dhkmn is still fresh in viewers' minds as aamir-pooja's cutest couple movie.. I guess if ghulam would have happened,it could dilute that impact of dhkmn's fond memories somewhat..
So I guess it was all good.

I totally agree, besides aamir-juhi's celebrated Jodi, aamir made the best pair with pooja despite having only one film together.

The reason of pooja loosing those electrifying bubbly looks just within 3 -4 years (1991_1994). is I think due to her lack of interest as mahesh bhatt always says she became an actress accidentally as she was never interested and wanted to be a writer director instead.
She never paid any attention to her physique and got fat just within a few years of her successful career...
If she would have maintained herself like other actresses she could be the same pooja of dhkmn for a long time, as the irony is that she left film industry by her own choice in 1998 just at the young age of 26... she got self retired at an age at which today's actresses are making their debut.

Raveena in Rangeela! I cannot even imagine how or what it'd look like, since Rangeela simply reminds one of Urmi.. so, it'd be the most interesting one..

I feel Karishma is really made for her character in Dil Toh Pagal Hai. Having Urmila would've been different though.

Agree Rangeela would have been so different with Raveena.. Ravs was her best in looks during rangeela time, remember her gorgeousness in mohra dilwale AAA & Aatish that cameup just one year before rangeela..she would have looked killing with those long thick breezy hair tall height and gorgeous face in Rangeela, that's what I can think.

Yes Lolo was really good in dtph, but urmila would have looked equally great doing those sexy numbers lay gayi lay gayi & dance of envy with madhuri.
