The reason of pooja loosing those electrifying bubbly looks just within 3 -4 years (1991_1994). is I think due to her lack of interest as mahesh bhatt always says she became an actress accidentally as she was never interested and wanted to be a writer director instead.
She never paid any attention to her physique and got fat just within a few years of her successful career...
If she would have maintained herself like other actresses she could be the same pooja of dhkmn for a long time, as the irony is that she left film industry by her own choice in 1998 just at the young age of 26... she got self retired at an age at which today's actresses are making their debut.

Akshay told him not to do movies as a condition of getting married to him, she along with rangeela left many big movies from 94 until 1996.. she was on the edge of becoming the top most actress post 1994... but after that personal life crises she had to start her career from scratch and by then it was too late..she became successful again, but didn't got that position again which could be achieved easily if she didn't goofed up in such a major way.

She took her career seriously post back to back super hits dhkmn and sadak..also 1993 Sir was a success...1995 Hum Dono was also a hit.. her career's 2nd last film Border was a blockbuster and she had the meatier role among the females.. I don't think she lost interest anytime in her career, she always looked very sincere with her craft in each movie. its just that I think she was not overly ambitious unlike other actresses running too anxiously in rat race, she never went obsessed with her looks and physique ever.

Actors which u mentioned were not B or C grade for that time..Atul agnihotree (naraz, kranti she tar, gunehgar) was a newcomer and all those films were A grade products...same is the case with vivek mushraan (satwaan asmaan, prem deewane) and Rahul Roy (Junoon, phir Teri kahani yaad aayi) who both were very popular A list actors post the super hit mega successes of Saudagar and Aashiqui, hen pooja signed these movies with them at that time right after their box office debut successes.

By the way I strongly feel Juhi would have looked real good and was tailored made for Raja Hindustani's role..
Those traditional dresses and Desi look would have suited her a bit more then lolo.. and those dramatic crying scenes, emotional quotient and masti with kids gang and others were TOO Juhi chawla type..
Too bad she lost that movie which seemed tailor made for her.
(But lolo did a splendid job too).

I am really glad Rekha has not done Anjaam (she was not only the original choice but she was the one who suggested the name Anjaam for the movie as per 90's tabloids).

If Rekha had done Anjaam she would have made it another typical Rekha revengeful movie (khoon bhari maang, aurat aurat aurat. , and zakhmi aurat)
While Madhuri raised Anjaam to a very high level with her altogether different personality, mannerisms and was a pure delight and surprise-factor to watch in that role... while Rekha would have made it sooo sooo typical.
