Rakhi Sawant withdraws case against Adil Durrani, Bombay High Court quashes FIR

Rakhi Sawant has officially withdrawn the FIR she filed against her ex-husband, Adil Durrani. The Bombay High Court has quashed the case after she expressed that she had “no objection” to ending the legal proceedings.

The FIR, registered in 2023 at the Amboli Police Station in Mumbai, included serious charges under Section 498A (cruelty) and Section 377 (unnatural sex) of the Indian Penal Code. The division bench of Justices Revati Mohite-Dere and Sandesh Patil passed the order in the presence of both parties.

During the hearing, Rakhi stated, “I have no objection to quashing the FIR.” With this, the long-drawn legal conflict between the two appears to have reached closure. The court also rejected another FIR related to allegations of obscene photo circulation on WhatsApp, along with a cross-complaint filed by Adil.

The couple’s troubled relationship has been in the spotlight since their marriage and subsequent fallout, which had turned increasingly public and contentious. Rakhi had earlier accused Adil of cheating, domestic violence, and harassment. Adil, on the other hand, had filed counter-claims alleging defamation.

Now that the legal chapter has ended, Rakhi Sawant seems to be refocusing her energy on television. Reports suggest that she is set to make her return to the Bigg Boss house in the ongoing season. Known for her sharp humour and unfiltered nature, Rakhi’s re-entry promises her trademark drama and confrontation.

In a recent chat with TellyTalk India, she didn’t hold back from defending Salman Khan amid ongoing industry criticism. “Takle sahab, Kashyap sahab please mere bhai Salman Khan ke baare mein legend Salman Khan ke baare mein na bole... mujhe lagta hai bohot log bolte hain faltu-faltu-faltu,” she said, taking a clear dig at filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap.

With her legal issues now behind her, Rakhi seems ready to reclaim her space both on-screen and in the headlines once again.
