Why do I feel she's gonna suck real bad in her next releases?

It wasn't just the media though, it was YRF PR at work saying so and so will happen.. A movie's success is measured in profit, and from that Gunday review thread seems like its going to be declared a semi hit or average, which is a low verdict given the hype behind the film. People expected 100 from this because Ranveer's last film made 100, and this is a money-spinning genre. Its typical masala which has been making all the money for last 3-4 years. Similarly, people expect all of Ranbir's films to make 100+ now because he has that star power/popularity.

Alia, a future superstar with one good performance? 😕 She MAY go on to become a superstar but as of now it's too early to say.

No offense but you and your fellow Ranveer fans were the ones who expecting Gunday to score 100 cr. I can find some of posts of Ranveer fans from Gunday promotion and review thread if you want to. So don't blame other posters with this kind of statement when Ranveer fans themselves were the one who overhyping Ranveer stardom status.

I never expected 100, but that it would be a big success. I went to that Gunday thread and they said its going to be declared semi hit, average, which is why I said it underperformed.

It was semi hit according to BOI and HIt according to some other sources. Wiki says Hit status. Anyways, market has grown a lot since 2011 and a lot of 100 cr movies as well due to that.
