Why different rules for actresses?

Anyways Kareena 'Career Over' can also be blamed for chicken of her film! Vidya so married but she is still in game, it's because of films she choosed and favours she gave to her friends that she unfortunately doesn't have any good project

It's nice to see a DP fan like you. Majority of her fans are always hating on Bebo.

To answer your question..with Bebo it's really her fault...she's murdering her career with her own hands by refusing films that showcase her talent and also make her a top actress eg refusing to do RL and doing trashy films like GTPM and Satya whatever that was.

With actresses like Rani..I don't really know what went wrong with her. It's interesting to see her fade away while the actors like Srk and Salman and Amir still are popular and doing films. I guess that's the double standard of audience not wanting to see an older actress while they are okay with 40 plus hero.

Bur with every Maduri we also have a Serdevi..EV. It all depends on script sense..acting and luck!

Thanks there are many dp fans who like bebo and I am one of them😊. I always like her a lot as an actress. Her script choice was really good before. She did movies like jab we met, dev,Omkara chameli but then god knows what happen.

I hope her script since improve. She is a mindblowing actress. It's always good to watch her onscreen. She's one actress who's in BV for longest time and she totally deserve to be here.

And I agree luck, script sense, acting plays a big part, actresses like kajol aish can still make a strong come back and give competition to all.

I hope she does Bombay Sumarai and badtameez dil. These two seems like great movies and then she also has singham 2. I am sure she's gonna be back with a bang. 😊

Yes it is. But I hope it changes, I hope today leading ladies Deepika, Kareena, Priyanka, Vidya, Sonakshi, Sonam, Parineeti, Katrina, Anushka change this by accepting more challenging and female oriented roles. Then only it can change.

I have nothing against male actors. But I think an actress should be given equal space and time.

It's not marriage. Ash and Kajol can make a comeback anytime they want but Ash prefers to be with her daughter right now and Kajol has always limited her movies.

Age is the factor. All actresses reach a certain age and with the type of movies BW does, they don't suit the roles anymore.

Someone mentioned Nandita, Konkona, Vidya doing certain kinds of movies and them still being in demand. Really? Nandita and Konkana and even Vidya not doing commercial type roles isn't solely out of choice. They don't suit those roles either.

It's mostly the audience is to blame. Everyone's fine with our top actors romancing 20 something actresses.

Directors and producers can make a million female oriented stories, if they flop, they lose their money, time and their dream/vision of the project.

it's the audience that needs to change first. they need to start watching movies based on story and talent and not because "so and so is in this movie"...society in general needs to stop being so condescending to older actresses, they are artists as well and your job is to enjoy the story and appreciate their talent not watch them on screen just because they're single or young. Seperate on screen with off screen. 😕

Sorry but I don't agree, I think actresses like vidya Kareena are versatile actresses. They can do justice to any role given. I agree vidya was not part of many commercial type of movies but she's an actress who can do any type of role, and she has proved that.

Age is just a number, it's us we make age a big issue especially when it comes to heroines. Aish kajol are 39 but they are still so beautiful and are great actresses and same goes for vidya and Kareena their beauty and acting is same as it was when they were in their mid 20s.

I know some actresses or even actors after certain point of time can't suit those young types of roles but that's not same with all actors, actresses like kajol aish and even preity are suitable for all types of roles.

I agree the audience should be blame but if there won't be female oriented movies then how can we expect audience to accept them, first there need to be more female oriented movies.

Movies like kahani fashion were appreciated and they were female oriented movies. Audience also appreciated actresses more than actors in movies like jab we met, chennai express, ramleela, barfi.

The audience would start appreciating female equally as males but only if there would be movies which given equal role to female as a male, but the change needs to happen first from the producers side. As if there would be more movies like dhoom, race ect then that change sadly would never happen,

Also female leads need to stop doing flowerpot roles but I can't blame them either because first the change needs to come from these big banners and we the audience

That's true too, but big banners are scared..
Once an actress hits 30+ it means she's on her deathbed and is useless according to SOME of the audiences mentality 😆

In Hollywood they say "30 is the new 20"
In Bollywood we say "30 is the new Aunty, also the new 95"

🤣
