The royal wife Kareena Kapoor of Saif Ali Khan is ready to keep her traditional norms up this Karva Chauth by taking a leave from the shooting of Gori Tere Pyar Mein. She is willing to keep fast on the Karva Chauth, a highly popular Indian ritual to be done by brides who keep fast from sunrise to moonrise for the safety and longevity of their husbands.

Our Bollywood superstar wives are too much fascinated by the occasion that they used to make place for this important function in their work calendar. Kareena is also following the bandwagon as she had told the Gori Tere Pyaar Mein team that she will be available only for four hours on October 22. She wants to partake in the pujas and rituals that mark the special occasion.

This is not the first time when any married actress has reserved her dates for the occasion. Years ago, Hema Malini had told Yash Chopra, with whom she was shooting, that she would like to be let off early on Karva Chauth because the fasting always got to her by the evening.

Boney Kapoor's wife Sridevi is also said to be getting ready for the special fast this year. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is another follower of the tradition, has also been observing the Karva Chauth fast for the last six years. And it is said that the Jaya Bachchan has invited Kajol, who is a neighbor, to come over to Jalsa and participate in the puja with her and her daughter-in-law.
